Coyotes players refuse to play or re-sign?

I'd be pissed too if I were a Coyotes player who's been told to play in front of 5000 fans next year again. What a f***ing joke.
I'd be more pissed about playing on a team with a snowman's chance in a Phoenix summer of making the playoffs. Playing in front of 5,000 fans is only slightly less than they attracted at Gila River lol..but to your point, imagine if they somehow made the playoffs and went on a run like Florida? How embarrassing is that for the league, a team in a college frat house arena playing in the playoffs

I wonder if this weeks crapshow had any influence on Cooley going back to college.

He played outstanding and theres really no other reason other than "try to win a NCAA title"

Akin to the Savannah Bananas playing in the World Series.

Keller's old man claims he was hacked.

Imagine using the "I was hAcKeD!!!" excuse in 2023. And said hacker hacked his twitter for the sole purpose of...tweeting that Clayton doesn't want to play for the Coyotes anymore. And nothing else.

And them promptly gives the account back and stops hacking it.

Yeah. Okay there Mr. Keller.

Don’t know if it’s even possible from the legal standpoint and how credible this is, but here we go

It also appears that he already deleted the tweets but the damage is done

I don’t think tweets are legally binding for … f***jng anything

He's got 5 years left at $7.15 million. He can sit out, and not get paid. Coyotes are under no obligation to trade him.

Not sure what the legal implications are if he chose to sign overseas while holding out.

Believe the NHL has agreements with most if not all of the major Euro leagues to avoid this exact thing happening.

Minus the KHL.

I think after the Radulov debacle there was some sort of agreement, but due to current political/world events there is now 0 cooperation between the two leagues.

According to Keller’s dad, they misread his lips, he didn’t say this

He can show up to training camp with a i dont give a heck attitude and not try and bring his team mates down. Will still get paid and make the team even worse.

It is easy to say be professional and they are still making millions of dollars, but majority of the long term players stayed quiet all last season. I think it is fair for them to start to share their negative opinions or try to play somewhere else.

They played hard last season, but I wonder if they just mail it in now. Like, unmotivated PLD-shift levels of not caring. I wouldn’t blame ‘em, it’s gonna be ugly.

Now here's an example of where social media is at it's worse.....

So Friedman knows Keller met with the team. Everything AFTER that is Friedman making assumptions as to what Keller talked to the team about.

But people will ignore the "I think" part and treat it like an actual fact.

Coyotes could send him home at that point. It wouldn't do his rep other players around the league any good either.

what a story his dad concocted...out on business and his twitter happened to get hacked when he wasn't paying attention...the hacker must have known he'd be away from his twitter for an extended period of time :sarcasm:

You can't seriously expect NHL players to play multiple seasons in a 4,500 seat arena without professional amenities. Their counterparts on other teams go to their arenas a have every aspect of their life taken care of. I understand why they would want out.

Let’s have some fun with this. Dissolve Arizona this season, there’s little to no reason for them to play out the season. Have a futures only bidding war for the players at their current contracts, with the futures going to the team that comes into being in 2024-2025. All draft picks and rights of players not in the nhl for the 2023-2024 season can be used.
