Coyotes players refuse to play or re-sign?

Of course he was never going to AZ. It was a laughable suggestion from the start.
I could have seen it if Arizona had a good organization, arena, team. But the way things are now why would he or any other player go there if they had any other choice?

If they are still at Mulett Arena past next season it will probably become a serious problem. I could see players like Cooley outright refusing to sign.

Keller leaving the Yotes would be a complete disaster. That kid is severely underrated and would thrive on a team with more talent and depth. If true, this is a horrible situation for the Coyotes, their fans, and the NHL. Keller, Guenther, and Cooley are their main pieces and need to be supported.

Doubt any player will risk their paycheck and sit out/force a trade
Why, it's happened before and will happen again.

The Coyotes have 22 draft picks in the first 3 rounds, over the next 3 drafts.

There's only so many prospects you can have and people you can have under contract. It's time to make use of some of those 2nd/3rd round picks and acquire some players via trades.

Keller, Schmaltz, Crouse, Hayton, Maccelli, McBain, Moser, Valimaki, Vejmelka.. They have enough young people and guys in their primes that deserve a competitive environment. When their prospects graduate over the next few years, it's better for them to jump in to a team that can play .500 hockey and not jump in to the laughing stock of the league.

These last couple years the management picked a clear direction in the summer, and that was full tank mode. You can only do it so many times before guys check out completely, and that time appears to be now.

If I was Keller, I'd feel the same way.
True enough but I bet no team is listed more often on those limited no trade clauses than Arizona the situation there has been a complete disaster for years and part of that is on Gary Bettman.

I added another one with a screenshot of Keller’s dad tweet

Dad says X.

Son disagrees with X.

Shock and horror. A new novelty. Can't happen in good families. etc. etc.

Come on ViD, you can do better than dad tweets. The issue might be either way, who knows, but I'd need Clayton's own comment to know it.

Didn't Nylander back when do just that? Got an okay deal in the end but he went on a strike. That was risky.

Your hate/love for Yotes is something.

I'd actually take that bet. Even with their horrible barn problem.

That's not the ONLY way, watch PLD's last shift in Columbus to see how you force a trade while still playing
That worked because Laine was on the other side doing the exact same thing.

It's a great thing to do when a slacker gets traded for another unmotivated slacker.

Awesome's lazer applies, very basic fill loss sophie The only arena that can house the yotes will house them, only 1 arena ready to go with a built in fanbase, established merch and branding(that still sells like wild fire)

12ish years ago the standard was set, QC only gets a team back if there's a team without an nhl arena to piss in.

The league agreed to a new phase of expansion 4 years after the jets relocated. People seem to forget that part.

Why wait for another 4 years for a new arena owners at the cost of expansion money?
