Coyotes players refuse to play or re-sign?

Don’t blame players for leaving. Imagine working at Hooters and having guys talking about blowing your back out vs having the option to work for a top end restaurant that has stability and respect for their employees.
Players cannot leave unless they retire or are UFAs who receive a contract offer from another team. Are Hooters employees under contracts which prevent them from going to work elsewhere?

Chrychrun ask out in the summer of 2022. Took to almost the tdl for him to finally get dealt. So any player who asks or demands out will likely have to wait it out. Unless thry have trade protection kicking in soon to encourage AZ to move them sooner.

I get being done with the ASU arena since Tempe voted no.

Would he be sitting out to save the team or sitting out until the team is moved?

I don't understand.

Can you blame him? Coyotes only trade for LTIR players for 15 years straight, joke a franchise and fan base.
Is the Coyotes fan base ideal? No, atleast in regards to paying customers. But, let's not act like they don't have passionate fans who are going to be absolutely devastated if they lose their franchise. Do, I think the Coyotes have potentially been badly run, or that Arizona may not have been the market the NHL thinks it should be? Probably. But this ain't the time to punch down on them, no passionate fan of a team should ever have to go through a relocation, it's absolutely devastating to fans whether big or small. Actually talk to fans of teams who've had their teams taken away, it's a terrible experience.

Trade any RFA that refuses to sign and sign a bunch of UFA's looking for job to fill out roster for year

Suspend without pay and toll contracts of players who refuse to suit up that are under contract

Problem solved
Would be par for the course as everyone that's evwr been in charge there couldn't manage a lemonade stand.

So getting suspended without pay for refusing to play for the Coyotes would be the best thing for his career earnings?
Perhaps he'd be willing to sacrifice some of those earnings to play for a team that is trying to win rather than taking on injured players just to make the floor?

Doubt any player will risk their paycheck and sit out/force a trade

Nylander kind of did in a way, but he was trying to force a contract on his terms.

That's definitely nowhere near the same as here...but I think of Keller sat to force a trade, he'd have tons of teams lining up for him.

Then they don’t get paid, so it ain’t happening. They will sign and play. These are the same guys who just played in a high school rink. The money supersedes all else. And careers are short.

Much ado about nothing. Coyote players shouldn't be happy, that franchise is getting no love from its own local markets. If family of the players voice disgruntled views of the situation, and it includes saying their family member player won't play there, no one should be shocked by this. If Keller's dad is stating publicly what so many players would like to given the situation in Arizona right now, the more power to them.

Legally? They can't make you play. If you don't want to play, you don't have to play. But you can't as a player make them trade you, and you of course don't get paid if you sit out. So you're gambling that the team blinks before you do.

That the player made his drunk ass pops delete the tweet says everything there is to say about how credible it is, though. It's exactly what it appeared to be: An emotional social media post by someone adjacent to the player, not the player himself.

His father probably only speaks for himself, and has no doubt already been instructed to avoid speaking for his son again.

Oh to be a fly on the wall for the "what the f*** is wrong with you, take that down now" phone call...

Don't even care if it was Keller himself or his agent, I just love the idea of a grown man with a grown child throwing a fit on twitter and making these bold, authoritative career altering claims and then immediately being slapped down and being told to sit quietly in the corner while the people with some actual authority do their jobs.
