The fake outrage in here is hilarious
I don't think there's any outrage.....more like incredulity, really.
Or full-blown hysterics.
The fake outrage in here is hilarious
That is the biggest problem I see here.
Changing into your equipment and out of your equipment while standing on a cement floor isn't professional at all, but at least it is doable. The NHL players will be able to tolerate it for 1 game.
But does the road team not have access to any showers, toilets, or running water?
I'm afraid to ask, but...what exactly is the shower situation?
Still a step up from Calgary’s
How about the spoiled millionaires that will play half their games in this circusThe spoiled millionaires will survive a game in Arizona.
Have you looked at their roster? Other than a few, who wants them? It's full-on Tank City. That would be the quickest way for Yotes players to get on the phone to their agents and say "Trade me out of here!!!"
But hey, they get the nice locker room. Seriously, a team shouldn’t be allowed to gain home ice advantage this way. But that’s just one of several things wrong with this abomination.Have you looked at their roster? Other than a few, who wants them? It's full-on Tank City.
The news is new…. The situation is new.
The takes are old.

Yotes should have been forced to play on the road until their mickey mouse arena was ready, like Isles were last year.
I don't get it, a University arena doesn't have enough locker rooms for 2 teams?
I must have missed something, because the 50 years old arena near my high school had more than 1 locker room...
It's sad to see as a Jets fan.
It's like if your ex wife left you for some rich American, only to end up living in a trailer park.
That's what I still don't understand......there weren't any full-size arenas in neighbouring states that could play babysitter at least until Tempe was ready - if that ever happens, anyway?
The Suns ownership group didn't want to step up and turn their arena in to a two-sport facility, again on just a temporary basis while the Coyotes figure things out?
There is a difference between starting on the road and never playing at home. The Isles got to play 41 games at home.Yeah, all of that. But I was just referring to these 4 home games being played before the dressing rooms are ready. Isles started last season with 13 road games because their arena wasn't quite ready. Clearly, Mullet Arena is not quite ready. It being at best a 5,000 seat amateur arena is another issue.

It's not a good look for sure. My guess is that had they been moved temporarily to another area (Houston as an example), they probably felt they would lose much of their core fanbase and never recover. Things are bad enough now.
Personally, I don't want to see Arizona move. I would rather have hockey everywhere, even if it's a tough sell. LA was a tough sell for a long time. I really don't care too much that my team is helping to support them. My team is still spending to the cap, so it's the owners who are taking a bit of a shave and I'm OK with that.
Hopefully, with the new arena, they can get things going. If not, I think they're at the end of their life and the team will be gone.
Been like 25 years since the late 90’s expansion that the nhl mandated new arenas for expansion teams. It works in Dallas, it works in Colorado, it works in Florida, it works in California.
To varying degrees, sure, but still.
Why it continues to fail in Arizona is truly a mystery. I did say earlier though that if they haven't left by now I don't think they ever will. A temporary relocation would've been miles better than what they're trying to do with this glorified rec center as a home base for three seasons. It's pretty sad.
Hot singles waiting to mingle at an alleged arena near you!Not a big deal.
There's plenty of golf courses in Arizona and girls at ASU are HOT and always ready to mingle. Visiting players have plenty of amenities that make up for the lack of decor.
