Serious answer: The Coyotes do not have the ammo to make anything other than minor trades or relatively straight across swaps. In no way are the Coyotes capable of pulling off a trade for a 1C at this point in time. Every permutation nets you a team that is worse off short and long term. It's that expensive.
Thanks for validating.

No idea if we'll land him but I think we'll make a "difficult to refuse" offer. Even more powerful when Shane Doan, his hero, is one of the guys on the other side of the table.

We won a playoff game last playoffs. Only one, but it happened. To be fair, the Leafs won three playoff games this year. Sooo...
Yeah, but if you go back to the year we all love, I think we got 'em by the numbers!

It won’t have to be an offer he can’t refuse. If the team is going in the right direction and cap/payroll are available, h
I like our chances

Leaving more money on the table with Toronto will be even sweeter

He becomes a free agent in 1,126 days.

He looks like a beast in the black kachina! BA better have that cap space in order and Meruelo better have that check book ready. Every team in the league will be gunning for him but the Coyotes sure as shit better be the front runners.

AM has been great during the season, not so good in the playoffs. Now, is that his fault, HC, or the team in general? He is making the big bucks to produce in the playoffs. It's one thing to dipsy doodle during the year, but quite another to produce in the playoffs. AM has much to prove as a player, but he is still young, and like they say, you have to learn to lose, before you can learn how to win. I want to see AM take that next step before I shell out 100mil. or more. These next two years are going to be interesting to watch him grow as a player. Losing this year might be the best thing to happen to AM.

Wish there was a way to pry Cirelli out of Tampa. He seems primed for a Carter Verhaege-esque renaissance when given an expanded role on a new team.
