To be fair, it's not just time.

He also needs legions of online hockey fans talking mad shit about him. He's probably not playing better because not enough of us are letting our disappointment show. If we dial those numbers up he'll come around.
Whatever it takes. Can’t get worse.

Cossa 12/18 saves in a 7-4 loss. Another big oof.

Would have thought that this was his first game in 2023 considering it's the last time someone dropped by to shit on a bad performance. For the record, I'm kidding, I know that people don't care about Cossa unless he's playing bad enough to warrant bitching and moaning.

He also went 19/21 in the first game of the back to back literally one day before this one in a 4-2 win.

He gave up 2 on 11 shots on January 8th in a game where he replaced the other goalie, who gave up 4 on 12 shots. This was Cossa's third appearance in three days, as he started and won the back-to-back games in the two previous days. January 7th, he gave up 2 on 29 shots in an 8-2 win. January 6th, he gave up 3 on 22 in a 4-3 win.

I mean even if we go back to the last time someone bitched about him, it was the December 30th game. Two days earlier he had a 35/37 night in a 1-2 loss. Even amidst all the debating that was happening on the 28th-29th, nobody (myself included) mentioned that he had a great game the night prior. People just aren't watching and don't have the standing to have a qualified opinion. Your motivation appears to be isolating and posting his bad games as a way to drag his name through the mud as much as you possibly can. And since we know you aren't watching the games, these posts are extra empty.

He has some crooked games no doubt. Over his past 10 appearances in Toledo, he is 6-3 with one relief appearance. Save percentage over that time is 0.888. In his 6 wins, it's 0.924 over 144 shots. In losses and relief, it's 0.831 over 89 shots. That includes the 35/37 night. So the takeaway is in his past 10, 7 of them are quality appearances 0.928 save percentage on 181 shots and a 6-1 record. 2 of them are true shit shows (0-2, 11 goals on 41 shots), and one of them is a relief effort in his third game in three days.

Certainly a different picture than what you'd believe by looking at the updates shared in this thread.

ECHL all star game on nhl network right now.

Happened to turn it on to see Cossa’s team lost a 3v3 game 2-0. Now I turn it off.

Has Sebrango fallen off this badly that he is in Toledo? He looked like at least full time AHL guy and NHL depth guy when we saw him in training camp.

Is it those Griffins adds helping Toledo to play better defence in front of Cossa?

Like, every goal from that 6-0 win had former Griffins on the stat sheet. They are also helping that scoring.

5:53
Goal - 1:0. TOL Game Winning Goal.
Goal by Conlan Keenan assisted by Kirill Tyutyayev and Mitchell Heard.
10:50
Goal - 2:0. TOL Insurance Goal.
Goal by Drew Worrad assisted by Gordi Myer and Andrew Sturtz.
7:13
Goal - 3:0. TOL Power Play Goal.
Goal by Trenton Bliss assisted by Brandon Hawkins and Kirill Tyutyayev.
13:23
Goal - 4:0. TOL Equal Strength.
Goal by Andrew Sturtz assisted by Donovan Sebrango.
16:57
Goal - 5:0. TOL Power Play Goal.
Goal by Trenton Bliss assisted by Gordie Green and Brandon Hawkins.
6:45
Goal - 6:0. TOL Power Play Goal.
Goal by Mitchell Heard assisted by Charlie Curti and Drew Worrad.

Like, they were probably Griffins 4th-5th liners, but all participated at Red Wings pre-season games.

They are also on a 6-game win streak.

Toledo has really turned the season around.

Last 12 games 10 wins. Pts% .598 currently. 12th best in the league, 3rd in conference, 3rd in Division.

Seems to be strong Division they are.

I thought he was invisible in training camp and not really in that good kind of way. Johansson and even Viro strike me as guys who can bring similar defensive value with more puck-moving upside.

I’ve never really understood the Sebrango hype tbh. I think he was with the Griffins too early, and he hasn’t really taken any strides forward for a long time.

Hard work, good skating, could fight, good locker personality, still very young

3rd pair D at best. Limited offense. Sort of like Lindstrom 2.0

Not at all like Lindstrom other than projecting as a bottom pair guy.

He’s way more physical and more willing to go than Lindstrom. Slightly better offensive potential (which isn’t saying much.)

Sebrango is a guy that could become the kind of lower lineup player that is very valuable in the postseason. Lindstrom is becoming the kind of player that winds back up in Europe as soon as his contract is over.

2nd Shutout of the year for Sebastian

26 Saves in a 6-0 Win

Is…is this allowed?

Nice to see this stretch. I think a few post back we had some good posts pointing out how the team was struggling and there wasn't a single goalie getting it done in the system. Sounds like the team has pulled some things together. If I had the time I would dig out the numbers of the other goalies too, willing to bet everyone has improved.
