Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I guess they’re going to take it week by week or month by month instead of suspending indefinitely? Maybe 2 weeks to test/quarantine all their players? I’m curious what the rational is

I'm surprised the NBA suspended indefinitely without a cascaded plan in place depending on how long it ends up being. Hopefully, this is where the NHL is headed. Suspend for 2 weeks, reassess, continue suspension or reinstate. Reassess every couple of weeks as needed. Depending on how long it ends up being determines which plan for continuing gets put in place.

Why? There is too much uncertainty to just cancel the season right now. Maybe test players and make sure no one is positive and then reassess the situation in 2 weeks.
reading speculation that it will be postponed till the summer, but nothing official. apparently they have already moved smackdown to the performance center (assume raw will too) which I assume means no crowd

Because the NHL always seems to do the absolute bare minimum in any decision they ever make
not having a plan is exactly why the suspended indefinitely...they don't know what is going to happen next but need to shut things down until they figure it out. and its hard to have a plan when you don't know if you can resume in 2 weeks or if this is still gonna be an issue in july.

It's not that hard to have multiple plans in place depending on which eventuality plays out.

I get the meme that Bettman and the league don't do anything right but I will say I think the NBA is much more suited to withstand an outright cancellation of the season, as opposed to the NHL

Believe me I am not a fan of the idiots who run this league but this situation is a tough one and still unfolding. I think its a wise decision to put the season on hold and then reassess in a few weeks. There are a lot of people and jobs affected by this decision so they just have to be cautious right now.
