Saw this, thought it was funny.

Here are 12 important questions and answers before considering getting vaccinated:

•”If I get vaccinated can I stop wearing a mask(s)?”
Government: “NO”

•”If I get vaccinated will restaurants, bars, schools, fitness clubs, hair salons ect re-open. And will people be able to get back to work like normal?”
Government: “NO”

•”If I get vaccinated will I be resistant to Covid?”
Government: “No one knows, but probably not”

•”If I get vaccinated at least I won’t be contagious to others - right?”
Government: “NO. The Vaccine doesn’t stop transmission.”

•”If I get vaccinated, how long will the vaccine last?”
Government: “No one knows. All covid ‘vaccines’ are still in the experimental stages.”

•”If I get vaccinated, can I stop social distancing?”
Government: “NO”

•”If my parents, grandparents and myself all get vaccinated - can we hug each other again?”
Government: “NO”

•”So what’s the benefit of getting vaccinated?”
Government: “Hoping that the virus won’t kill you.”

•”Are you sure that the vaccine won’t injure or kill me?”
Government: “NO”

•”If statistically the virus won’t kill me (99.7% survival rate), why should I get vaccinated?”
Government: “To protect others.”

•”So if I get vaccinated, I can protect 100% of the people I come in contact with?”
Government: “NO”

•”So if I experience a severe adverse reaction, long term effects (which are unknown) or die from the vaccine, will I (or my family) be compensated from the vaccine manufacturer or the government?”
Government: “NO - The government and manufacturer have 100% zero liability regarding this experimental drug.”

So to summarize, the Covid-19 vaccine...
Does not provide immunity.
Does not eliminate the virus.
Does not prevent death.
Does not guarantee you won’t get it.
Does not prevent you from passing it on to others.
Does not eliminate the need for travel bans.
Does not eliminate the need for business closures.
Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns.
And does not eliminate the need for masking.
LOL thank you

It's like that dumbass commercial I've seen air a few times that shows that guy saying "I don't know anyone who got covid, I keep my circle small" etc etc.. and it shows him going to the hospital getting put on a ventilator

"Covid effects everyone! Stay home, obey rules until we all get the vaccine." (again insinuating that the vaccine prevents spread which they clearly say IT DOES NOT).

How this goes over people's heads I have no idea.

If we were all vaccinated.

We know that isn't going to happen, but when everyone who wants to get vaccinated is vaccinated why would we worry about those who chose not to get vaccinated?

I have one complaint about the roll-out in Canada and it is the slothful way they've approved vaccines.

I can't blame the current government for driving the industry out of the country, as that has been done over decades.

I don't blame countries for vaccinating their own with their own supply.

I don't blame Canada for funding the program to help poorer countries and taking Canada's fair share of that supply. It is part of the agreement.

I am torn on who to blame for the LTC and DSL ... profit becomes the motive when you privatize, which is what certain sides of the spectrum want to do with everything.
If you support an ideal that is all about getting government out of everything, one is being hypocritical when the results of the government getting out of that business isn't to your liking.
These are the people who want it both ways. This is the be careful what you ask for because you might get it.
Mulroney sold Connaught to da French in 1989 Mérieux ... we only ever had 1 international vaccine lab and we sold it for under $1B ... can't blame Trudeau/Libs for that one ... although you can blame him for not starting da $4B investment faster in new Montreal vaccine lab ... to me when should never have sold it and we would have already been able to inoculate everyone

It should be considered like we consider insurance, an expense we hope we never have to use.

What ever became of the property? Did the French buy it as well or just the infrastructure. I haven't been there in decades but it was trulymassive and located in Willlowdale. At least the same size as 2 city blocks if I'm remembering correctly. Perhaps a dozen buildings maybe more.

I've twice had a severe allergic reaction to tree nuts where I had to be taken to emergency, get an adrenalin shot and put for hours on a Benadryl IV. I developed this only in recent years for some reason. I believe the advice is still that I don't take the vaccine.

Will you worry about me?

We've known this was coming since SARS/MERS and the Liberals have been in power since 2015 and the vast majority of the time since Mulroney. There's plenty of blame to go around but the Liberals own their share. And they've reacted far too slowly on everything related to this pandemic. If this were a world war, would we shrug our shoulders and say a car plant can't be converted for wartime manufacturing for *years*? Because if so, we're kinda in trouble.

"Grim numbers for Canadian business"

“With a whopping 51% reporting they did not know how long they could continue to operate at their current level of revenue and expenditures before considering closure or bankruptcy, the coping ability of businesses to weather the pandemic is quickly dwindling,” notes Dr. Trevin Stratton, the Chamber’s Chief Economist, in a news release.

Businesses are claiming bankruptcies are imminent or have happened, but isn't the government handing them free cash as well? Similar to the people collecting cerb. All part of the 400 billion that working Canadians will have to pay back someday down the road.

Yep but it's really not enough and not sustainable. Are we going to run a $380B deficit in perpetuity? Eventually it's going to come crashing down if we don't start getting realistic. I think they're pinning all of their hopes (feds and provinces) on the vaccines. I want them to be right but my hopes are more varied.

Does the allergy make you more vulnerable to covid like those senior folks holed up in LTC? Protect the vulnerable, right? Apparently you have a risk assessment to do.

No, the advice is that you still take the vaccine. It's not for all allergies that people shouldn't take the vaccine, only those who have had allergic reactions to vaccines in the past

Also good news in Ontario as they're saying everyone should be eligible to be vaccinated starting in late July. Phase II for vaccination (which I'm eligible for) starting in April

My wife has a treatment every month and she takes benadryl before she takes her treatment because she has a reaction to some of the ingredients. The key is to take it before not after.

I would say if you are eating tree nuts that you know you are allergic to then I could see family worry more like be angry about you, as that is self inflicted.

I am surprised someone would say don't take the vaccine as I doubt very much they know the ingredients of drugs that aren't even in the market yet.

Oh, I'm done with tree nuts. It happened once and I just thought it was a fluke. Now I know.

When this is over would there not be a vacuum for all these business?

If there is a vacuum it will be filled, if there is no vacuum there is no need.

Been downsized and took a job making 25% of my previous salary ... 8 years later I'm probably back to about 90% of what I was making. Whatever, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other until there are no more steps to take.

There is emerging evidence that the vaccine reduces transmission, which many predicted it would

You need a critical threshold of vaccinated people before you start easing restrictions and masking policies. This is not the same thing as "the vaccine clearly does not prevent transmission".

Nothing has gone over people's heads. The issue is other people spreading misinformation and making emotional statements without understanding the evidence/science

Oh, I'm done with tree nuts. It happened once and I just thought it was a fluke. Now I know.

Like bee stings, I was stung as a kid and never thought anything of it. Was stung as an adult and my first thought, besides that hurt, was I wonder if I'm allergic. Maybe been stung 3 times and nothing.
My one son always has an EpiPen, thankfully we're in Canada where the price is reasonable. He thinks he's allergic, but it is more anxiety.

I know it's beside the point you were trying to make, but the original statement around not getting the vaccine if you had food allergies was overzealous and wrong. Another stupid move by the government, who obviously did not consult the right medical experts (ie allergists) before issuing that "guidance"

Yeah exactly. Most people who have allergies can and should take the vaccine

I'm far more worried about the damage to the economy that we haven't even realized yet. But I also don't think you can just wave it off as a vacuum that will be filled. We're quite literally talking about hundreds of thousands of people losing their life's savings. I'd rather die of Covid than have that happen and I'm not kidding. I worked way to f***ing hard my whole life to have everything I built taken away through no fault of my own and with questionable reasons for the shutdowns.

I'm a model 55, I worry all the time about things crashing but it doesn't consume me. Things happen all the time I can't control, example the downsizing and working minimum wage. I would live on the streets rather than submit to not living. I live a fantasy that things will always get better. I even think man can take that next step. I know I'm just a dreamer, even still.

I guess it would be the same reason that people freak out when someone doesn't vaccinate their kids. I always wondered why the fuss...if you are protected and it works...who cares..let them suffer the consequences of not being vaccinated...but people still freak out over them as I am sure they will with people who don't want the corona vax. I think part of it is that people who took the vaccine know they rolled the dice in some small way on the off chance they get some weird side-effect and they feel that if they took a chance..so should you. You shouldn't benefit from herd immunity if you never took part in the rolling of the dice (even if the chances of severe illness from vaccinations are extremely small...it still exists)
