I’ll give Jim a pass because there’s a good chance he has no what Covid is and just reading a screen.

Pretty impressive what Biden has done in a few weeks. He's done more in a month than that other guy did in a year. Biden took over a polarized incompetent no-plan plan and turned the US response into the gold standard for pandemic responses, Bravo Mr. President, bravo!

It’s always two more weeks

If only the virus could speak and tell us exactly when it is going away because as we all know, to run a country all you have to do is ask the virus questions or refer the " How to Run a Country During A Pandemic " handbook... it's quite simple...

Thankfully he hasn’t done anything, although I fear he’s about to interfere with the vaccine program.

Look at the data over the last 100+ yrs. They speak loud and clear.

lmao, reminds me of the business of hockey board. Back when the Coyotes were going to fold or move. It was always more info to follow in two weeks. Went like that for a couple of years. lol! It became the running joke

You don’t really believe that, do you?

Two weeks to flatten the curve
In two weeks Tuscaloosa is going to explode with cases - in response to the party on the streets after they won the college football title
Everything takes two weeks

Alabama had 149 Covid deaths today out of a population of only 4.9 million. I believe that's the highest death rate today of any state.

Roll Tide!

It just goes to show that although Biden has finally got this virus under somewhat manageable conditions, the previous admin bungled this pandemic so badly, some experts suggest to bungle it as bad as they did , it would have to be a purposeful effort to be that incompetent, some conspiracy theories suggest that it benefited Russia to see the US brought to its knees, since some posters on this forum like to push conspiracy theories take that one and chew on it for a while, it will take time for the US to get to the normal base lines that other western democratized countries have seen. Like Canada for example, although not perfect, it's is a model for what a competent government can do.

In many of these "men are men" knuckle dragger states the actual death tolls are not being reported accurately, it's been turned into a political football by a certain political party that has gravitated towards the orange light and refuses to admit the severity of this pandemic and provide an effective and humane action plan.

I was reading a news article yesterday that said that for many of the poorer nations the reported death tolls are not accurate they could be as much as 100% more, the article suggested that the world wide death toll from Covid-19 is probably much closer to 4 million dead vs the current 2.5 million.

Fortunately for us there are responsible governments that put their people first, in 12 months this pandemic will be over, we will all have modified RNA in us and life goes back to "normal"

Reported today. The ice slowed things down this week. The seven day average is dropping in every metric, like everywhere.
Not doing as good on the vaccine as some of their neighbors but it’s coming along.
It’s race now between Vandy, Ole Miss and Mississippi State as to who will be first to have a full baseball stadium . I’d put money on the two MS schools.

Specifically, what has the administration done? I have received anything new from CMS. Keep in mind a couple of facts, one the seasonality affect was already occurring and cases, and hospital metrics peaked at the first of Jan and were dropping like crazy.
Secondly, under op warp speed a million + were being vaccinated daily before the admin change. The original plan was to administer 2million per day by the end of Feb and 3 million by the end of March. It’s slowed down some, but should pick up strong again in the coming weeks. I’m not sure we’ll ever hit the 3 million/ day goal until the weather warms.

What if I suggested, deaths are more likely over reported because of death certificate reviews. For example, there were reported deaths in MS this week that occurred on Nov 11 th . Every death is reviewed.

Ontario predicted 40,000 cases per day for mid-February back in January. The modelling assumes that humans are complete idiots and will do nothing to slow the spread. The purpose is to scare people into compliance. It's not complicated.

However I think the people of Ontario have seen enough gaslighting. Remember, it's always your fault. Not the incompetent politicians for being completely unprepared.

To be clear it’s the viruses fault, but yes, politicians like to make you believe they’re in control of it. Make no mistake they haven’t sacrifice anything during this whole ordeal and try to control the masses.

As has been brought up before, I'd genuinely like to know how long these shutdowns would last if every politician and medical expert who continually call for neverending restrictions were all forced to take a 50% paycut for the duration of whatever shutdowns they impose and pay it back to the province?

Force them to put their money where their mouths are and let them suffer with the average joe and lets see if they truly believe all the prolonged restrictions they've placed on the general population are actually necessary or would they quickly have a change of heart if they were directly and significantly affected like many people are?

Or not allowed to go on vacations, get their hair done in a closed salon, go to a neighbouring state to eat in a restaurant after closing them in their jurisdiction. Then they lie about it and demonized the shop owners.

The two things that irk me are preventing children from living by taking away their activities ,particularly sports, is insane and cruel.
Secondly many people that are for all these closures and stay at home orders have no problem going shopping and purchasing unnecessary items that take millions of people to get the product on the shelves or in their electronic shopping cart.

No one does that ... gives up their leverage.

I haven't really seen any cost reductions during this pandemic, even though many people have had pay-cuts or hours reduced.

An event that happens every 100 years? your standard for being unprepared is what? No deaths? No shutdowns? For some people it is their fault.

A massive breakout in NB was the result of a person not observing known isolation protocols after international travel, it was the persons fault.

To blame politicians is an easy out, Ford can't go to every house to make sure every person is respectful of their neighbors. Sometimes people have to take ownership of their neighborhood. Sometimes those antimaskers and antilock down asshats need to get a slap in the back of the head.

I hope some day to grow up to be perfect like some people on this forum... all the answers... '67 can you believe that out of all the experts on viruses in the entire world... we have a half dozen or so posters on this forum that know more than the scientists that spend a life time studying viruses... HFforum scientists read news articles and with their zero training on viruses are able to glean the information to determine "The TRUTH" .. the most knowledgeable experts on this planet...

Mr. Trudeau, shouldn’t you be running the country and not defending yourself on a hockey chat board?
