Yes, it’s PHI.
Having a private company , like Ticketmaster, verify personal health information is an added expense. Why would they even care?

I couldn't give a rats ass about expense but I'd have a serious problem with private companies demanding personal health information for right of entry

What's next? Eating establishments and bars requiring it to?

Hell no, I'd throw my phone in a river before I'd upload something that invasive on it

for those wondering why events, restaurants, or airlines would "want" to police / request immunization records, just look at their profits (or lack thereof).

I'm very sure anyone questioning why a private enterprise would "want" to request records isn't in any form of business themselves.

i'm sure we have a restaurant owner on here, with current mandate to stay closed (take out only).

may I ask if you were offered an allowance to open up, but you had to scan a phone ap (or similar) to ensure your patrons were vaccinated, would you open up?

Or you would you remain closed because you don't want to take on the burden of checking?

Pretty sure restaurants (the ones that are open) already have the burden. Every restaurant I've gone to for months now requires you to provide name and number, time of entry, etc. I don't see checking for an immunity card any more of a burden. The bigger question would be: do they want to permanently alienate customers over requiring an immunity passport?

permanently.

right.

those who are advocating against vaccinating will be distracted by a shiny light, or other form of simplistic distraction. Most humans are wastes of flesh, and will sell their soul for $10 dollars off something.

I'm not sure a business can do ANYTHING to permanently alienate a customer.

Seems to be a lot of intentional confusion about that in here.
More like the state of the World we live in. Either for or against, asking questions mean you are against it and you sucks.....

People need to distinguish between anti-vaccines and worrying about the side and long term effects of the vaccine.

Yes, as I suggested earlier, I think if people are worried about the modern science being used, they should wait for the archaic method of creating vaccines. Astrazeneca is around 90%, and from what has been reported the seasonal flu is around 60%. ;-)

If you are anti-vaccine then it is different, When to Immunize

I know for my job I had to have some of those or I couldn't be hired. I'm okay with that I don't have the right to dictate beyond my nose.

The better question would be are we going to be forced to put private medical information on a phone app that's going to be scanned by every Tom, Dick and Harry just so we can go about our daily lives?

That has some pretty bloody serious civil liberties questions attached to it

Yeah, not taking your arrogant,do what you are told garbage rates right up there with my response for sure. Don’t mock people that don’t live on their knees like yourself. Go to the Legion and tell them to do as they are told while you are at it. I’d take the first vaccine in the world to see that. Other people fought for all the rights you have so little use for.

My father is a veteran, and is actually a Legion member (his local is Limeridge Road here in Hamilton).

He told me yesterday he will be getting the vaccine as soon as it is offered to him.

Once you have fought in war, and have seen real death, getting pricked twice by a needle isn't scary. They went to war to protect their country. My father understands getting a vaccine is doing the same thing.

I would exercise my right to not support a business where I disagree with their practices.

Only you consider that a better question. I bet the owner of a business currently making little to no revenue would feel my question is a "better one".

If they’re going to require it, they’ll have to verify it somehow. Ticketmaster isn’t going to make someone enter a number into their system before they release tickets

Probably all much ado about nothing anyway.
Forcing someone to take an experimental, emergency use drug in order to participate in public events or as a condition of employment is likely not going to happen.

I don’t think it’s legal in the US, which could be why some hospitals had a enrollment form for those that wanted to opt in and get it.

Yes, many people have their life, banking, and other critical pieces of information about themselves on their phones.

I browse while waiting to pick up someone, or for making communication interactions that relay nothing of importance.

Putting your medical history on such a vulnerable device. Not sure what is worse, a chip or an easily misplaced device.

public events =/= private events.

(you do understand that, correct?)

I seriously doubt a lot of governments would give those businesses that choice sadly

Civil liberties implications only interest me do they?

So yeah, your question isn't the "better one", another question would be after the government tanked those businesses revenue what wouldn't they do to try and survive?

So? Putting your banking and financial details on your phone isn't your private health information

I don't know about you but I'm pretty keen on retaining my privacy so I don't have private health information somewhere that's easily accessible to people other than my doctor

Anti-vaccine aside.
I have no problem with Countries needing to you to have certain vaccine before entering and to some extend, I am fine with it to attend sporting events or other stuff. My problem and I think most here are having the same problem is how safe is the vaccine? Is it being rush? What are the side effects?
Bc time is something you cannot buy in this case.

That is what is most concerning. Not being able to open your business without abiding to these draconian laws. You just said it yourself.

Oh I agree, I don't put banking or financial information on my phone. So not putting health information there either.
