I think we can say without a hint of mockery that today's shooter-tutor would be at least better at handling the puck than Scrivens...shooter-tutor knows its limitations and wouldn't bother to try.

You have to wonder how those numbers would be different if you could actually buy one of the McDavid Orange jerseys, at least between October and Christmas.

Plus this is for all of 2015, its not like people were buying lots of McDavid Oilers jerseys this time last year.

Many here have been referring to him as PakMan for a long time. It's the obvious choice and just has a better ring to it than your typical hockey add ons like Paksy or Pakster. I kind of like Paka-Rhine-Stone-Cowboy but that is a mouthful and I accept it will never catch on.
Regarding McDavid, would it be too much to ask for the City to have a mandatory holiday complete with celebrations and events the day he returns?

Probably be well out of a playoff spot by then, which makes him coming back meaningless to me.

Now if he comes back earlier (which it sounds like he could) the Oilers risk looking like they rushed him.
Spector went and set Feb2 as the "proper" or sensible time for his return.
The 4-7 games he could come back for prior to the all-star break are all huge... heck even its just a couple games, we need all the points we can get and he will help this team no doubt...
Or perhaps Feb2 is the sensible time, just seems like he could be ready by the Calgary game and even that would be conservative, but what do I know...

Saying there's no point in him playing a couple games before the break is ludicrous. It'll help get him back into the swing of things, show him where he's at and what to focus on during the break, and would make the 9 days off less torturous.

Meh, clearly he picked this date since it is after the All Star Break. It is obviously a good guess and may be better than any other guess. Still, I think it is more than likely he returns before the all star break rather than after. At some point if he is healthy and ready to go, they won't be able to look him in the eye and just say we are sitting you for no good reason.

When I was listening to Oilers now on my lunch a couple days ago, Spector was on and was discussing a potential return date for Connor with Bob. He sounded like he didn't have a clue. After Bob told him he's been practicing with the team, Spector seemed surprised and then said he wouldn't be shocked to see him before the 15th and most likely by the Flames game. Weird this comes out now.
For sure but he has 5 G and 12 A this year in 40 games, this doesn't scream GET ME A McDONAGH JERSEY, STAT!!!
Toews, Kane, Ovi, Crosby, etc, now those are top notch players.
BREAKING: McD could make his return before the season finale on April 6th against the Canucks, but it may be sooner
