He then went to lead the stretch in a white jersey; if he was non-contact, he would be in a yellow or perhaps powder-blue jersey, so we are going to believe that he is able to throw his weight around.

Honestly I think he's pretty much ready, they just being cautious. If this was Letestu or some other low profile guy he would be in no doubt. I think they will hold him out till the Calgary game next week.

Don't know about that. I think they were wearing the whites on game day skates because there's no contact for anyone on those days, and then the light blues for the harder practices, where they're only participating in some of the contact drills. Problem solved.

Regarding the Oilers not saying when is he back, what game will he start, where is he practicing, how long will he be injured for, and which jersey will he wear today? I like it. Keep em guessing.
