I wonder why he still hasn't updated his twitter photo from the Erie Otters.

He's been posting, but still holds his old team's pic up

Still doesn't feel like an Oiler?

Don't get me wrong, it would be a treat to watch. I'd rather watch him make NHL dmen look silly though;)

Wow that would spoil him for Christmas - getting to play against Slovakian and Swiss Dmen for a couple games.

He's probably a wise man and realizes that Twitter is stupid. Therefore he doesn't put in the effort.

He said he's learned to tune himself out away from social media and stuff; he offered the same advice to the World Junior team so maybe he just doesn't care?

If you're just joking: Good job

If you're actually serious: Ohhhhh good lordy

He's got like 4 tweets since the summer and they're all to just promote his sponsorships lol.

Seems like dude recognizes twitter for him can only be used for promotional reasons. Because otherwise people might pick apart every single thing they see on there :sarcasm:

He'd tweet some random news event happening in Richmond Hill and suddenly he'll want to sign in Toronto, according to Toronto.

The World Juniors is not the NHL. Less contact. Less demands on the body.

It would be a warm-up against top players with less risk for injury.

I am the only one who seems to think this is a good idea so I am going to assume it is a bad idea.
You can get injured just as easily at the World Juniors. Nylander got injured against the Swiss today. Don't know how serious.

Hope he is back soon. Hockey wasnt this fun since Forsberg had to end his career. McDavid is alot like Forsberg only faster but not so mean as forsberg. Please be it soon. Make NHL fun again. Them two stars look so alike around the net and also when dangle into offensive zone. Im sure McDavid will tare it up for a long time. Hopefully.

Having McD back will be great, but I'm not sure if it will have the effect we want if this team can't get the puck out of their own end for him to work his magic.

Not even Connor can fix this team.

not with this defence.... with schutlz gone next year that is automatic improvement though... this was always a "next year" team, sadly.... klefbom, nurse, davidson will all be better next season (or should be anyhow), reinhart should be a capable injury fill in... things will be better next year, i honestly do believe that

**** schultz though, just **** that guy

Based on what? He's already almost 8 weeks post Surgery. Kane was back after 7.

unsure why people keep comparing this... its not like every person heals the same and every persons break is exactly the same... after allstar break some point is the word so its still gonna be a bit.... I wouldn't wanna rush this at all if I were Oilers... keep him out as long as possible... not like anything will be won this year anyways

Because it is comparable. The fact that he has been on the ice for 2 weeks now, basically the same amount of time before Kane returned to the ice. Maybe they hold him out longer because they want to be careful, but I just can't see him needing much more time with all the reports being that the healing has been smooth without any complications.

He is showing some very good judgment in that.

Twitter can lead to a lot of distractions and not a lot of good comes out of it.
