Its crazy how good Leon and Conner have been playing. No offense to Edmonton but I pray Conner comes home to Toronto for his next deal.

I wonder how long his prime production years will be. I'm assuming he's peaking now. He looks incredible out there.

I think Draisaitl will age the best out of the current stars. His game is built on shooting, puck protection, and hockey IQ- skills that should definitely age quite well

McDavid and Mackinnon will definitely be dominant players for years to come but I imagine they'll have to adjust their game some in their 30s when they can no longer blow around everyone

That pace, while still very impressive, keeps dropping week after week. 1.73 down from 1.97.
Everyone expected McDavid to be the favorite for the art Ross, bit no one could rationally think he would maintain a 2 ppg pace. Happens every year that a few superstars go on tears at the beginning of the year but then slow down.

I see McDavid challenging and potentially beating Crosby's best year, which was 120 points.

I think the Oilers need to do something about their crappy even strenth and 5 v 5 scoring. Ovechkin is totally beating their ass(McDavid and Drai) on that catagory. 10 points as of today on McDavid. The Oil ranks 19th in 5 v 5 goals for. The rate of penalties are going to slow down thru the season and their unsustainable pp percentage is coming back to earth.

If Kucherov can do it, so can McDavid.

Some people were insane enough to think he would maintain that pace because he had close to 2 PPG spread out over two seasons. Maintaining 2 PPG over 82 games is a different beast from doing it over 30 some games, getting a break for a few months, and doing it again over 30-40 games.

Also last year the north division had awful defence.

If in the very unlikely circumstance that happens, you will lose Matthews and then some.
Tavares deal would be up, any team thats has a shot at him would let go of other pieces, for the leafs that would mean marner or Nylander as well. The leafs also have a good crop of wingers coming up that would be on the team at that time as well.

10 points vs Toronto in 8 games. 12 points vs Montreal in 8 games.

18 points vs Calgary
21 vs Ottawa
22 vs Vancouver
22 va Winnipeg

It's pretty clear which two teams were the best of that division.

He’s going to have a hot stretch at some point shortly which offsets his current cold streak. But I think 140 is quite ambitious now.

1 ES point in the last 5 Oilers games. 0 for Drai. If the PP isn’t rolling both are having trouble producing.

Still on pace for 136.7 (1.67 ppg) though even through this 5v5 slump.

He could go on a 22 points in 10 games run no problem. At a 138 point pace, he's still got a chance but looking less likely by the week.

Every year mcdavid and drasailt have a slump around this time and every season mcdavid finished strong . Don't be surprised to see the pace pick up in the new year.
