On a 154 point pace with very typical on ice percentages. Meaning, he's likely not benefitting from puck luck.

He'll end up in the 150 point range, Draisaitl will end up in the 125-30 range while the #3 scorer in the league will be in the 105-110 point range. That's my prediction right now.

It's a surprise when McDavid doesn't put up 2 or 3 points a game, to be honest.

The amount of chances he creates which Puljujarvi and Hyman haven't been converting on lately is insane.

McDavid has 49+104=153 points in his last 82 regular season games.

And he just surpassed the number 1 pick in the 2010 draft in career points. Won't be long before he surpasses the number 1 pick in the 2009 draft too...

I watched some of the EDM/BOS game a while back and he was absolutely unreal. He "only" had one assist but was on a different level than everyone else in what I saw of that game.

I believe he was on a 152 point pace last year, so it's in the same neighborhood.

Only question is if he can keep it up for a full season. Either way, this is just insane.

150 pts will be difficult with wear and tear of the whole season.
Eg if today he goes 0 pts, he will be 32/18*82=145 pts pace,
then in the next game he will need to get 3 pts to get back on 150 pts pace.
Any slip up, missed games, powerplay production returning to "normal" and its an uphill battle.

I'm pretty confident hes not getting any points tonight.

4 points tonight, and hit the 400 career assists mark.

Now has a total of 401 assists in 426 games played.

He'll surpass him in the next game or two and then gradually widen the gap over the rest of the season. I think McDavid finishes 20-30 points ahead of Leon this year.

Hmm... i don't think 20-30 but definitely agree he will surpass him soon and also hit 150 points.

Guess we'll see. McDavid is also known to kick it into high gear in the second half of a season. We are only about 25% done this current season so maybe he'll start a little earlier than usual. lol

McDavid will have to score 200 points to gain recognition that he may be approaching prime Malkin's level.

Leon's hanging on to 1st by a thread. Must be daunting to know that as good as you are that other guy on your team with the line mates who can't seem to finish is going to surpass you soon and eventually create a sizable gap.

None of their linemates can finish on a regular basis. Hence why Connor and Leon have as many goals as they do; they need to take matters into their own hands. Personally, I wish they'd both shoot even more than they do.
