He is actually behind his pace last year after 13 games (1.92 vs. 2.00).

Time to start a "Is McDavid regressing?" thread.

I watched the game last night for McDavid. I realized halfway through that he might be in a supporting role on that team to Draisaitl.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if the guy hits 200 points some day.
Can't see it. Would need an incredible supporting cast and with the salary cap, that'd be extremely difficult.

Still going strong but right now it’d Drai who’s going for 88 goals and 177 points

PDO indicates he will slow down, but I hope he gets there or close to it.

Connor is on a 21 game point streak and seems like he's slumping with only 1 point in his last couple games. If it wasn't for hot goalies he could have 3-4 in both the games against Boston and Buffalo. But he didn't, so we are where we are.

Both incredibly fun to watch.

I don't know if he'll break the 200 pt barrier for a season in his career, but boy the kid is so fun to watch. Every time he touches the puck he has such a high chance of making something amazing happen.

He's doing it.

Congrats on #600 Connor.

About to pass another former 1st overall pick in points, Taylor Hall, despite having being drafted half a decade later.

Pretty nuts considering Hall has scored at a 0.87 PPG average since the beginning of his career.

mcD has produced at a 116 pt/82 game pace since the start of his career.... madness.

if it weren't for injury/COVID, he'd be at 700 easily right now

Where are all those posters from last season saying McDavid would never keep up that pace this year because he was not playing against the weak North division
The goalposts have already moved on that one, and it's now the weak Pacific Division. Like how he's put up another 2 pts already against Pacific bottom feeders, the...(checks notes)...St. Louis Blues.
