Good kid, level headed, reminds me of a mix of Kane and Toews personality wise. Has Kaners smile and can be funny but also has Toews seriousness there. Kid is a gem, love him already.

My dad was always more of a baseball fan (Socks), but he followed the Hawks more after I got into hockey back in 2009. He enjoyed the Hawks cup years, and I know he’d be excited to see what a generational talent like Bedard could do for this franchise.
I think I’ll be following this team more, for him. Probably still be rough for a few years but the future is bright.

You can list all the meaningless awards you want Bedard has just as many. Bedard had more impressive Junior résumé than Connor McDavid and about the same as Sidney Crosby. Connor Bedard set the ALL-TIME Canada WJC records for goals, assists, & points (Far more than Crosby, McDavid, & your boy Fantilli)
It's pretty hilarious that you mention WJC champion as one Fantillis accolades when Bedard carried that team to Gold while Fantilli did jack shit.

You know you're getting old when the Hawks' draft pick was born in the same year that Sidney Crosby was drafted. When Bedard was asked about Patrick Kane in his draft year he said and I quote "It was a little before my time". DOH!!!

he says crosby is his guy but he lives for the goal celebrations like kane, cant ever recall crosby doing much after a big goal, see more shades of kane than anything

Bedard's interviews are a little rough but he otherwise ALWAYS looks happy to be where he is. It's' a great sign. The kid has it going on, our franchise is about to be radically different for the next decade. So lucky we got him!

Just shows his humbleness. Kid doesn't feel anything is gonna be handed to him and is going to work for it. Going to be a fantastic captain down the road.
