uhhhh...not sounding good for Geno...and what is this crap? We better not be relying on Jank lol!
The good news is we don’t need Jank to step in for Geno, but for Bluegar!

whoda thunk the only impediment to Jank bring anything more than a fourth line plug is just trying harder. Pretty insightful.
the fact that he had at least three opportunities to convert a goal last game, including on a breakaway, and failed tells you all you need to know about Jankowski and the level of “skill” he’ll be bringing up the lineup lol...

Honestly, like Sutter and Sheahan and countless players before him, being more aggressive would benefit him. If that’s what was meant then I agree. He wouldn’t be great but he’d be more useful. Being too passive is a major problem.
If that’s what he meant, it’s hard to flip that switch if it’s not wired in there in the first place. Effort is a different story, which is how I read it.
This is what I expect to hear from Sully today re Geno: “He’s still back in Pittsburgh being evaluated. We’ll have more when we know more”...lol, he’s going to punt and obviously we’ll hear nothing until Sunday pregame or Tuesday (Monday is a day off), but he won’t be playing these three games at least against NJD...
got the powerball numbers, nostradamus?
God I hate this team when it comes to this shit.

I mean, sometimes injuries take time to diagnose. If there's swelling in a knee, for example, you need the swelling to go down to properly determine the extent of the injury.
PLAYER | TYPE OF INJURY | DURATION | STATUS | UPDATED |
---|---|---|---|---|
Jason Zucker | LBI 2/23 | "longer term" | Placed on LTIR retro 2/23, out for 3/16 game | 3/16/21 |
Mark Friedman | UBI 3/4 | day to day | Placed on IR retro 3/4, skated in the morning but out for 3/18 game | 3/18/21 |
Jared McCann | UBI 3/7 | day to day | Placed on IR retro 3/7, skated in the morning but out for 3/18 game | 3/18/21 |
John Marino | UBI 3/9 | day to day | Placed on IR 3/16 retro 3/9, skated in the morning and will be GTD for 3/18 game | 3/18/21 |
Evgeni Malkin | LBI 3/16 | unknown | Did not skate morning of 3/18, continuing to be evaluated | 3/18/21 |
Teddy Blueger | UBI 3/16 | "longer term" | Late scratch for 3/16 game | 3/16/21 |
This is common in the NHL.Yeah. Makes sense why we haven’t heard a peep on Zucker. Why McCann is on his second week of day to day. And it takes a week to get a read of Malkin.

Alex Pietrangelo has been sidelined for over a week in Vegas. Here's how Peter DeBoer described it.
“I’m not concerned it’s long, long term. But he’s definitely out for the foreseeable future,” DeBoer said.
