Salary Swish is kind of an awful name. They should have just kept it under CapFriendly and their brand might go mainstream with the influx of NBA fans.
Yeah. Is that a pun or something? Or just weak alliteration? I mean, I know what swish means but...

Sounds like it came from the first guy that raised his hand in the pitch meeting and then they adjourned after five seconds.

Looks like the Fan fired Dmac. He'd be a huge get for any of the new stations/pod casts to get that want Broncos coverage. Or even Altitude. He was also really good covering not just the Avs, but also the opposing teams during our cup run.

good riddance, sorry wasn’t a fan

Yeah I feel the exact same way. And if it was anything like Clough, they probably offered him a different time slot that wasn’t in prime time and he said no so I don’t feel bad for him (Clough took the night spot at one point. I remember him going from prime time to the 9pm/10pm slot where nobody was listening).

So how many GMs and active players does DNVR need to have on before we all admit they're not just a fan podcast anymore?

Well, they have a history of doing podcasts drunk. It's what turned me off and it's going to take time for them to clean up that image.

I know I'm not tuning back in yet. Would rather just read the 30 second recap here then listen to them all buzzed no matter how intelligent they may be.

I've refrained from a lot of DNVR/AJ talk just because I happen to consider him a personal friend and my opinion is worth no more than anyone else's.

That being said I will say a couple of things:

The harping on his weight is f***ing ridiculous. The guy is making efforts to change, and I'm supporting him in whatever way I can. I personally know how hard it can be. I used to weigh upwards of 350lbs and I lost a lot of that weight. I got down to 160 but am struggling right now, hanging right around the 195-200 range. It sucks. We're better than that, so let's act like it.

Now, on the subject of DNVR themselves...I think what we're dealing with is a difference of preference in what people want from their coverage. Most of us here have a differing opinion on what they want/expect; DNVR seems to have tapped in to something much different so they have attacked that head on. Before Harrison was born, MrsRL and I went to Denver and actually went to the DNVR bar during Game 3 of the series against St. Louis. And that place was packed full to the brim. I cannot imagine they didn't make $ hand over fist that night. The place was rocking all night and it was electric. They have diehard group of fans and they're marketing directly toward that market.

Does that mean that there's not room for growth? No, of course there is, and I think we're now seeing that attempt happen. I think the effort is there, but they're still in such an infancy as an organization that they're still finding their legs while making sure they keep the lights on.

From EL, to CMac, to the players, it feels like the Avs are giving them a bit of a push as their go to resource, and giving them more access.

I think they can improve their production quality a bit, and on camera presence, but I'm just happy to see more coverage of the team. They're doing well and I hope it continues.

Wow man that's super impressive. Takes a lot of dedication to do that. Not sure your height, but 195-200 is still pretty good compared to what you were.

Just re-motivate yourself somehow and get back to it if you want to lose more. You and AJ should feed off each other's motivation. Always helps to have someone pushing you that's going through the same thing you are.

I would imagine someone else working on their weight pushing you to keep working, is a lot more effective than some ripped personal trainer.

Yeah, comments about his weight are totally ridicolous. Asking as a non-Denver resident who is almost totally ignorant of the context. Are you saying they got drunk because they are trying to target a certain market segment? If so, I believe they need to broaden their target. I was very annoyed with that. As others have said it contributes strongly to the perception of the show’s amateurism.

I was really hoping Annunen would actually impress enough so much that he would take the job from Frankie but it seems more like he’s in line to get it by default. I was really high on Annunen but he’s just kinda fizzled like all of our other goaltending prospects in the franchise history.

I remember when Peter Delmas was going to turn everything around for us on the goalie front.
