I like how Bettman said the solution to the TV deal in Colorado might be streaming. As if that wasn't obvious like five years ago, or whenever the hell this mess started, but they never seemed to consider it.
Looks to me like the issue is just stubborn pride. Kroenke could fix this numerous ways, but he doesn't want to bend to the will of Comcast, so everyone else has to suffer. He's playing a game of chicken. Can he outlast them until cable starts to finally die off and they become more desperate.
Also pretty clear they've been waiting to win the Cup to have better leverage at the bargaining table. Probably why they postponed that meeting they were supposed to have earlier to try and resolve this.
