Kind of ridiculous that the Avs site still doesn't have the post game interviews from last game.
I watched the post games earlier today on avalanche.nhl.com. on desktop they were on the homepage under Avalanche TV, but on mobile you have to click on the menu icon, then multimedia, then Avalanche TV.

Yeah looks like they're up for me now too. I'm sure they weren't up for me earlier though because I kept refreshing to make sure. There's also an interview with Cogs now too that wasn't there before.

Maybe they had to tweak something and re-upload the post game stuff, so I semi retract my rant earlier, because the delay with sunday and weekend road game stuff has been happening for years.

Most of the comments in this thread end up being negative so I'd just like to say, I think Baugh has done a great job in the playoffs. The articles, quotes he's getting, recaps, etc have all been top notch. Gets info from the Czech Republic on Francouz one day, a quote from Kadri's agent the next, and then asking the important questions about Mikko playing center after that. Better than anyone else in the national or local media.

Yeah he's been doing well. Props to him. I let my Athletic sub expire because the content wasn't quite getting it done for me, but he's been giving me a reason to want to renew again lately.

Yeah, Baugh has already become a much better hockey writer than when he started. It's really kind of refreshing to simply have someone who acts professional.

That being said, he's still not up with Portzline or Russo (not many are), but he is so much better than what we've had in over a decade it's not even funny.

There's a YouTube account that uploads them in a timely manner, but the quality is usually somewhere between awful and mediocre:

Thanks

As of right now the Bednar presser from yesterday's game is still not up on the nhl.com Avs website

Unbelievable

It's available on that youtube channel but the image and sound are so f***ing bad. It's like someone recorded a Twitter live feed with the camera from a $30 phone.

That's what we get as a fanbase.

If only I was able to regularly watch Altutude maybe I would care...

Rachel has been around how long now? She still feels like she's learning the game. Hiring someone who knows hockey should kind of be a requirement if you ask me.

Got a quick question for the more knowledgable peeps here and its not a big deal, but can anyone confirm that dater actually went to Edmonton? ..i know he said he did but i got this weird theory that i can't shake..

I like listening to Sandy Clough's post game shows on the KKFN 104.3. I know Cluffy is an acquired taste, but the guy knows hockey and goes back a long way with the Avs and the NHL. Much better than the stuff on Altitude.

But he insists on consistently bringing on Adrian Dater for "insight" and . . . that guy is the most marble-mouthed, inarticulate goober I've ever heard. The guy never says anything incisive or informative and just hems and haws and gargles his way through interviews.

I just recently became active on this forum, so I assume there's already been some Dater-bashing on here. But how that guy continues to have an on-air presence is mystifying.

If we're talking about the quality of the broadcasts, one thing I really don't like about the TNT ones is when they have the low camera angle from the end boards during faceoffs, and they had it at the end of game 2 when the players were all off the benches, it's like that weird miniaturisation filter that focuses on the players and not anything else in the background. It doesn't work, it makes the whole picture look like an old video game. It's even more jarring than Darren Pang was last round.

It's basically portrait mode for sports, they've been doing it for Football too. I'm not sure why everyone gets so hellbent about this sort of stuff though. It's just a 5 second clip showing a different style and angle. Similar to the video coverage of PPs from the behind-the-net angle for 20 seconds. It's fun and different and mixes it up, who cares.

I love that camera angle. Gives a cool view for the zone faceoffs.

Agreed. I saw a lot of people bitching about the camera angle from behind the net for PPs and replays. It's like 20 seconds of the game, who cares! It's unique and different. Now, if it were for large portions of the game, then of course I'd have a problem with it.

Never show any hockey shot from behind the net, unless it's a few seconds of a team with the puck setting up in their own zone.

Pierre McGuire dropping his pants and curling one out would be unique and different, doesn't mean it should happen

That shot just looks... weird. Like there's something unreal about it. I stand by what it said about it looking like an old video game where they can't render the crowd properly so they just blur out the background.

it has a different focal point than a normal shot and is definitely more artsy. The aperture setting blurs the background to enhance focus on the skaters. Its cool for a one-off deal like a faceoff, would be terrible for action shots where you need to follow quick movements over large areas.
