You know? There’s this crazy option to just, maybe, not be here?

This isn't actually true. I'm stuck here thanks to a witch's curse a few years back (which is currently manifesting in my two favorite NHL teams playing each other in the first round).

From all the info that came out and the lack of timeline from the Avs I think the logical conclusion is he was sent to rehab. He won’t be back this year.

At this point, the Avs are better off playing scrubs and punting until next year. They can use the rest and recovery.

I don‘t think we can count out the Avs yet. They still have a premier line with MacKinnon and Rantanen and if they bring their A game, they can certainly steal one.

With Makar they will be good, and in case Nichuskin returns, they can still go deep.

I am not saying they surely advance, just that we shouldnt count‘em out yet. They are the champs and they will play in desperation mode.

It could be anything, it could just be they want him away from the team because of his conduct, day drinking and perhaps engaging in other subtances with a female friend might mean he's not 100% commmited to the team to them.

Could be waiting on potential criminal charges from incident. who knows.

Game 5 without Landeskog, Nichushkin and Makar. If Seattle doesn't at least take game 5 they have no one to blame.

You mean a Kraken team without Burakovsky and McCann relying on the Jesper Froden magic?

I think everything's up for grab in this series and absolutely no one can say how it will play out.

Though, that's not a bad thing for the Kraken, who're supposedly in for a waste of eight days....

BTW: Hope Nichushkin can get back on track and get this under control.

Let's go with "who knows" and NOT SPECULATE.

If that were the case Bednar wouldn't have called it personal reasons, it would be team conduct reasons.

The speculating is just getting ridiculous now. Its a f***ing personal matter for a reason. If/when the Avs or Nichushkin decide the public should know about it, they'll tell us. Until then, people and the likes of Seravalli and these "other reporters" seriously need to lay off and give the dude his space over whatever it is going on.

That's very optimistic. But the Avs should shut it down at this point.

It would be a feel good story if they promoted the AHL team for the last 2-3 games as a hard earned reward work. Good television..

This sort of attitude is just plain insulting to all of the incredible hard work as well as pain, missed family time, etc, that the Avs players who are still playing have invested in this season already. And the series is tied at 2!!

I get it, you've probably never worked all that hard comparatively for anything before in your life, but you don't just get nearly there and then give up and punt for next year. That's loser mentality and I can promise you none of these guys feel the same as you.

Some of these guys won't even be around next year when we have to navigate a tougher cap situation, who knows where their careers will even be.

I don’t think McCann and his outlier season and Burakovsky are even close to comparable lol

Why do they need to be compared, when they're both out as meaningful contributors for the same team?

Both are out - who gives a shit which one you think is better?

Uhmmm, usually the better players have more of an impact on the hockey game, it’s a classic case of money value too. Because our top guys make top dollar the replacements are never going to be as good, not to say Seattle isn’t at a disadvantage but you guys still have a bunch of depth up and down the line up. I’m actually very impressed at how all four lines run.
