May god have mercy upon your souls.God we're getting Georgiev, aren't we.

I know the Avs' prospect situation is rough but there's no way that can be true.As an Avs fan, I feel like we got taken to the woodshed in this deal. Hopefully I'm wrong and Blackwood works out for us, but Kovo was one of our better prospects, we lost a 2nd and retained 14% on George. Ugh.
HAVEN'T WE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH?????!?May god have mercy upon your souls.
Again, what were you expecting? More likely than not that 2nd round pick will help the Sharks acquire a more useful player than Blackwood. Top-4 defensemen go for two 2nds all the time.

Probably trueI don't think anyone is topping that Lottery Dynasty.
He has a lot to accomplish to be better than Kuemper.Best goalie on the Avs since Varlamov
For forwards, we got Ritchie and a whole lot of nothing.I know the Avs' prospect situation is rough but there's no way that can be true.
You drastically overestimate how much it takes to dump a contract expiring this summer. Taking on Georgiev is literally meaningless to the Sharks.Given that they took the Georgiev negative-value cap dump off Colorado's hands and did them a massive favour, I would have expected a 1st coming back for sure. Again, especially because Blackwood's contract was so cheap.
Taking that shitty contract back - something you'd probably expect to get a 2nd to take - almost makes it as though they received nothing for him.
What a weird trade.
Avs sure know about forwards but they seem to suck when it comes to understanding goaltending.
The Annunen for Wedgewood deal was horrible.
But this is way worse. To give up a 2nd and Kovalenko to basically get a goalie that’s at best on par with Georgiev (at worse Blackwood is usually injured)?
Wow
Born in a manger in the streets of Sofia so the story goes.No he’s not. He’s from Bulgaria
Kuemper just happened to be the lucky mediocre goalie in net when they wonHe has a lot to accomplish to be better than Kuemper.
Blackwood looks for real and then blows a tire. Good luck with that. But as was noted Avs don't need Vasy or Shesty in net to win the whole thibngIf Blackwood is good (I’m definitely not convinced but that’s the premise of the deal), then the price is insignificant.
People are going to glorify baby Tank in this deal but let’s be real…”one of our better prospects” means very little. He’s a 25 year-old rookie winger getting 4th line ice time in a healthier line-up. I’m happier it was him than Ivan Squared.
This is almost all about the pick for San Jose.
I don't feel like Ivan² is a prospect anymore. I think he's on this team for the long haul.If Blackwood is good (I’m definitely not convinced but that’s the premise of the deal), then the price is insignificant.

Bailed out is way too strong for the level of play that Blackwood can provide. This is more of a hopeful Kuemper 2.0.But they bailed out Colorado from their goalie problem and gave up a 5th. They basically did the Avs a huge favor here.
Georgiev is Bulgarian!Georgiev dump in the process for the Russian tandem on the Sharks?
With one eyeKuemper just happened to be the lucky mediocre goalie in net when they won
