Cozens
Mittlested
Krebs

It’s a smart more to trade from position of strength. Their center won’t suffer in the near future and they add a top 4 D.

I think Mittlsted is nice but he is not going to outproducr Thompson and Cozens…

Thompson and Cozens are not true C and Krebs is a bottom 6 player due to low IQ. Mitts was our only true center. He makes his line mates better.

Should be a win win for both teams. Bo was stuck behind Toews and Makar and was getting heavily outplayed by Girard this season as well. Avs needed a cost controlled 2C in the worst way possible.

Plus with Sean Walker on D makes Bo less needed as well.

Nah. This is a Sabres L. Byram is behind Dahlin and Power in Buffalo, and Mittelstadt was essentially our only good two-way forward and one of very few natural centers in our organization. Oh and we’re trading a guy who finally developed into the player we hoped for for a guy whose development has stagnated, so that’s great too. This trade f***ing blows for Buffalo.

How is Mittelstadt's defensive game? How is he on the powerplay?

Solid. Best backchecker on the team. Really busts his ass getting back. Can get caught puckwatching a bit when the play is kept in the defensive end for a while, but otherwise just plain solid. Once he gets the puck, it's his puck. Period.

On the PP? I think I/we always expected a little better. But our PP absolutely blows chunks. Soooooooo yeah. He'll likely be on your 2nd unit.
