Chychrun LD $4.6 this year and next.

- Schneider RD (RFA) going to get between 2.5-4 based on contract length?
- Goodrow 3 years left at $3.6 & seems like they are errr…eager to get his money off the books. He’s also the kind of veteran Ottawa is looking to add.
I don’t expect offence, I expect grit, effort, and character on our 4th line and we’d eat that salary to make the deal work.

Seems like the Rangers have Fox and captain Trouba ahead of him on the right side, and that they could use a puck moving offensive guy on the left to play with Trouba.
Chychrun is on a great contract this year and next, then could sign longterm with the Rangers.

With the new athletic article this is moot now but for the sake of it

Goodrow may be a decent 4th liner and a veteran player, but at 3.6x3 he is a dump, and at his rate its a 2nd + 2nd just to take him so what else you adding lol, because Schneider is not cutting it on his own.

Basically the dump is more or less the same as when Kassian was dumped (2nd + 3rd + moving down from 29 to 32)

Nothing in the article should give you the impression an extension is in the works.

Chychrun just wants to throw water on the idea that he doesn't get along with his teammates, hates being in Ottawa and may be an issue in the dressing room.

It’s definitely good value, but I don’t claim to be an expert on the Rangers roster construction. Seemed to make sense - fills needs for both teams, Rangers get the best player in the deal and get to dump a contract no one wants.
