To acquire a much better player at a reasonable cap hit?Why would Allvin trade away Zadorov after just acquiring him?
Not that I was really serious but uh yeah

Is Chychrun better than Zadorov though? Maybe he’s not so good as people made him out to be?To acquire a much better player at a reasonable cap hit?

Is this question in a non hockey context? Is Chychrun better than Zadorov though?
Why has he not been what you've needed do you think?70.3% of voters voted him a top-pairing (or better) Dman literally ~10 months ago, and almost 500 poeple voted. If your thoughts have changed, it's probably not because of his play. Unfortunately for Ottawa, he's not what they needed, but it doesn't make him any worse of a player.
Names that I'd reasonably target are M.Weegar, C.Parayko, B.Carlo, R.Andersson, and R.Poluck. I understand hey have varying degrees of value and availability, but that's the short list of who I'd call on regarding a Chuchrun swap. I'd also be in on B.Pesce and M.Roy if they are willing to do a sign-and-trade, but that seems less likely.

I looked down that Ottawa lineup and thought you'd be really good this yr. Individually most players are producing no? Has the goaltending been bad? That can often explain a lot.
Chychrun has had above average to very good defensive numbers for a few yrs though so he can't be the problem is he? It's gotta be a systems thing. Chabot on the other hand has always had shockingling bad defensive metrics, which surprised me as I thought he was more of an all arounder when he came into the league.Per game, Ottawa is 9th in the entire leaue in goals for.
They are 31st goals against.
Goaltending and team defense has been very bad, but goaltending always looks bad in these cases. Talbot sucked last year and now in LA he looks great for example.
I always had concerns about Chychrun being brought in as he is a LD. He's also more of a physical offensive defenceman, and not a defensive specialist which Ottawa would benefit more from. Having Sanderson makes one of Chychrun or Chabot redundant, and while I would prefer to move Chabot - I believe the team would prefer to move Chychrun.
The Streets called the Dorion firing and the Dadanov fiasco so he is credible.
The usual HF posters jumping all over a team when they appear to be down.
Ahhhh the humanity of it all!
I for one wish for success in Ottawa and they're not that far off from it really.
Just think .. a top 5 pick this year for sure I would think ... maybe a stud RD coming Ottawa's way ... just what they need.
Actually just look at rich plsyer has contributed to winning clubs and which is never on a winner. Zadorov seems to be the player who is always helping his club win. Not too sure what Chychrun does?Is this question in a non hockey context?
The boys want good food after the games not bar burritoDeBrincat now this. Wonder what’s going on.
Chabot is who I believe most sens fans would rather trade if they could,Chychrun has had above average to very good defensive numbers for a few yrs though so he can't be the problem is he? It's gotta be a systems thing. Chabot on the other hand has always had shockingling bad defensive metrics, which surprised me as I thought he was more of an all arounder when he came into the league.
Bigger contract and lesser player. The club’s fans might want Chabot gone but (imo) he has negative value. Chychrun, although not a great player, has positive value because of his contract.,Chabot is who I believe most sens fans would rather trade if they could,
Not even close. If Dorion didn't lucksack the Karlsson trade and get Stützle he'd easily be the worst GM of all time and it's not even close.
Now this is a guy that would deliver a large return.Tkachuk is next to ask out
Sens gave up a 'condition' first rounder in 2023 and 'conditional' second round picks in 2024 and 2026 to acquire Chychrun. Not sure what the 'conditions' were. But first and second picks are still first and second round picks at the end of the day.
And I know one thing......if they decide to deal him, they won't get a fraction of that haul back.
