Habs fans aren't trying to trade him at all. And the ones who are trying to are delusionnal. The only way Caufield gets traded is if, for whatever reason, Habs are putting their hand on a top 2 D who's under 23, or a Bigger version of Caufield. That's it.

Expecting value for a young top pairing Dman on one of the best contracts in the league is not delusional, thinking that Caufield or Guhle are somehow worth a top 2 young Dman and or a top 5 C in the game is absolutely delusional, in fact, it's downright asinine.

Holy cow....Eichel, Aho and Makar are A+ players. Caufield can barely stick in the NHL at the moment and Guhle is good but he is not A+. He's a shutdown A- defender.

Caufield sold everyone in Montreal a dream and has landed back to reality by not being able to outplay wingers who are all, for the most part, having career low years.

He's like that average/above average chick that you pick up at a bar when you're completely smashed, thinking you scored a 10 and wake up the next morning and you're like "damn, who the duck is this girl?"
