He’s going to cost two pretty good NHL players, either just hitting or approaching their prime, and two pretty good prospects who aren’t far away.

You can mix and match but that’s generally what the value ends up being. So if a high end prospect is included, the NHL player’s may not be as good, etc…. Or a straight up trade for a like player in stature. Trades we don’t see often.

Either way, Montreal is going to have to do better.

Expecting value for a young top pairing Dman on one of the best contracts in the league is not delusional, thinking that Caufield or Guhle are somehow worth a top 2 young Dman and or a top 5 C in the game is absolutely delusional, in fact, it's downright asinine.

Yes ,Thinking Chychrun is worth Caufield AND Guhle AND some picks AND some prospects is downright asinine.
