Or Sanderson...True, but it’s just funny he specifies a D. What if Armstrong likes what he’s seen from Leevi Merilainen and that’s the prospect he wants?

Plenty of options without Sanderson. Ottawa has a stupid amount of young talent....and neither is Ottawa!
6 weeks ago it was LA and Jeff Chychrun giving an interview on how much he loved playing in LA during his career. 6 months ago it was all about Florida. The agent is going from one market to another to try to get groundswell support to get a trade. Hasn’t worked thus far. Not much has changed from AZ’s perspective. We have time. We will use it.It sucks that Ottawa is the the only team with any buzz around Chychrun.
Would be great if another team was still interested at this price.
Fairly confident Bill played the same game early in summer. Definitely believe he used Marek to try to drive price up. It's starting to look like Chych is not nearly as well regarded around the League as many thought.6 weeks ago it was LA and Jeff Chychrun giving an interview on how much he loved playing in LA during his career. 6 months ago it was all about Florida. - Blue Jackets received: Adam Boqvist, 2021 first-round pick (12th overall), 2021 second-round pick (44th overall), future first-round pick (which became the 2022 sixth-overall pick when the Blackhawks pick wasn’t in the top-two.)
I think it comes down to how much we want to squeeze Ottawa for taking Zaitsev’s contract but the only expected return should be similar to what Seth Jones received. 2x1sts is the key. One has to be in 2023 though. Protection needs to include an extra pick if the 2023 pick is deferred.Seems like Zaitsev, Thomson, ‘23 1st (top 2 protected), ‘23 2nd and ‘24 1st (top 2 protected)?
Personally, I don’t give a rip about what sens fans think.Thats the thing. What Sens fans aren't getting is that its their GM who is pursuing Chychrun. BA is not pursuing trading Chcyhrun to the Sens. Sens fans are trying to maneuver any trade proposals into what would be the best steal for them, but unless BA majorly f***s up there shouldn't be any way Chychrun gets traded in a steal for the other team. If Dorion wants him to the point where he's outright pursuing him, put up the assets. Especially if we're taking on their trash in Zaitsev for 2 seasons.
Ok, but what is the Coyote ask for taking Zaitsev's contract?Seems like Zaitsev, Thomson, ‘23 1st (top 2 protected), ‘23 2nd and ‘24 1st (top 2 protected)?
Didn’t CBJ send a high pick back? Skipping that seems like the Zaitsev price.I think it comes down to how much we want to squeeze Ottawa for taking Zaitsev’s contract but the only expected return should be similar to what Seth Jones received. 2x1sts is the key. Right with you here, except I don’t want to see protection. However, if it comes to that an extra pick is semi palatable.I think it comes down to how much we want to squeeze Ottawa for taking Zaitsev’s contract but the only expected return should be similar to what Seth Jones received. 2x1sts is the key. Ottawa is heading north, Chicago was heading south and the Blue Jackets knew that. We won't be getting a high end draft pick like Columbus. I think Ottawa is about to take a big step this year.I think it comes down to how much we want to squeeze Ottawa for taking Zaitsev’s contract but the only expected return should be similar to what Seth Jones received. 2x1sts is the key. I agree with you but that division is brutal. Could go either way honestly. Them getting Chychrun will help tons.Ottawa is heading north, Chicago was heading south and the Blue Jackets knew that. The 32nd OA and a sixth rounder. You may be right.Didn’t CBJ send a high pick back? Skipping that seems like the Zaitsev price.
Yup, it sure is. That is maybe what BA is counting on.I agree with you but that division is brutal. Could go either way honestly. Them getting Chychrun will help tons.
That’s why I want this trade to happen with Ottawa. I think we get a decent pick in 23. Just my opinion though.Yup, it sure is. That is maybe what BA is counting on.
Thomson for taking ZaitsevOk, but what is the Coyote ask for taking Zaitsev's contract?
How's this one?
To OTT:
Chychrun
To ARI:
Zaitsev
Boucher
Kleven
'23 1st
'24 1st (c.)
(c.) = if OTT fails to qualify for BOTH the 2023 AND the 2024 playoffs the pick converts to a 2nd.
