I think this proves we are playing the kids...

They added Kunitz and we wanted Wingels - that is a simple 13th forward or scratch.

We wanted De Hann, Moore, Cole, whoever - we got Manning - bottom pairing defender with over 100 NHL games...he is a LD that is needed, but isn't going to hold any kids back.

If anything, these moves just add bodies for competition on the cheap and short-term. If Bowman wasn't planning on playing the kids, we would see deals in longer term and for more expensive payers.

To me, this proves Bowman is going all in on our youth and our core - sink or swim here..

We signed no long term bad contracts, yet people still ***** because we didn't get that overpaid contract??? as always HF, as always..

I agree with all of this and am on board if it is the case, I just don't think Q has the track record that warrants trusting him to bench players like Kunitz to give ice time to our younger players.

man, you would think we just lost Tavares here...oh wait lol..sorry Isles, my condolences.

look at what is going on out there, only the Blues did anything significant so far in the West.

Jets lost Stastny, Kings have done nothing but lock up Doughty to a bad long term deal (though you have to do that), Sharks have done nothing, Ducks have done nothing, Preds have done nothing - over all we signed some minor pieces, but most of the top players that were available aren't going to the West except Vegas and Blues..

Just look at what others got. 4+ for Cole or 2+ for Reeves.
Just take the smaller contract with less term and draft your way back up. Rather not have signed manning but adding vet Wing is not the end of the world as long as he is seen as #12/13 F

That is a horrendous 3rd pair

Seabrook and Manning will both get caught pinching leading to multiple breakaways , 2 on 0 and 3 on 0's for other team
That evaluation makes little sense, Seabrook's not often caught pinching. But yeah pucks get by him and he is toast.

But Kempny seabs worked because Kempny pinched a lot and Seabs is actually good vs odd man rushes

Reality is terrifying.

But I like it's a FA that knows what the history of Q is.

Ya, I don’t like the second year for Manning, but hopefully he’s scratched most of 19-20, or traded somewhere.

correct, typical BWC hyperbole...

Seabs doesn't pinch much, just takes him a bit to get back in the play lol!!!

Take a good look at our defense. This team will probably suck next season and I'd have a tough time blaming Q. I don't think any coach can win with this defense.

WTF is this?? 2.25m for a #7??? Rather sign DeHaan for 7.25m, he would actually improve the team. And Kunitz is just

Get these FO guys (and Q) out of here, they have clearly lost touch with the game and have no clue what they're doing.

DeHaan at $7.25 million helps this team? What are you talking about?
