100% Q

Q loves his bad defensive D's and it will be Q that puts Kunitz in the Top6 and PP over DeBrincat.

Bowman is going after Hughes and gives Q the guys he likes. Q will fail and Bowman is trying to save his job. That's pretty obvious and have seen it before will see it again.

What?

Manning is far from a defensive D. He is a crappier Gus

I would have just played kids. Don’t get it.
I think this proves we are playing the kids...

They added Kunitz and we wanted Wingels - that is a simple 13th forward or scratch.

We wanted De Hann, Moore, Cole, whoever - we got Manning - bottom pairing defender with over 100 NHL games...he is a LD that is needed, but isn't going to hold any kids back.

If anything, these moves just add bodies for competition on the cheap and short-term. If Bowman wasn't planning on playing the kids, we would see deals in longer term and for more expensive payers.

To me, this proves Bowman is going all in on our youth and our core - sink or swim here..

We signed no long term bad contracts, yet people still bitch because we didn't get that overpaid contract??? as always HF, as always..

I'm not even going to try to defend Bowman this time. Ward? Kunitz?? Freaking Manning? What kind of nonsense is this?

I am amused this idea being pushed that Bowman is punting season and will keep his job while doing it

Yes Rocky will be thrilled with another year of Hawks out of playoffs and less fan interest in team all while knowing he has several costly Stanley mistakes (Seabrook for instance) awaiting to be bought out in coming years

Rather have Duclair, Mrazek, and basically any defenseman prospect at 4mil play for this team next year than 6.25mil on these 3 bums
Duclair was garbage and we saw it.

Mrazek you could make a case for, but any of these options are meh.

I do not like the Ward and Kunitz signings as they are pointless to me. Manning has potential, we see guys like this all the time flourish in other situations..low risk/term.

Start putting the spotlight on our core - Bowman just did - they need to be better, we win shit unless they play better.

And our youth now has nothing really standing in their way which many wanted as well...gloom and doom as always because the team didn't get your 1 or 2 trash piles you wanted... mine were Nash and Moore, not going to lose sleep over it, just want our stars to play like stars and see these kids coached the right way and this team looks no different than much of the West as long as we have Crow.

I cannot wait for how bad people are going to look on here when talking about Rutta....this will be epic.

Why does Ward and a NTC mean anything? It is a 1 year deal lol.
All he does it give them out to everyone? Even if Rutta plays well, he got more than he should have. Just like everyone else has.

Ward had to get that for his situation with his child, he signed with that commitment in place...

years past, yes Bowman handed that shit out like candy.

if Manning got a NTC, then yeah, I will help light the torches as we march down Madison.

That's me in the corner
Keep thinking like that. Rutta got 2.5. Cam Ward got a NTC. Now this deal. Seabrook deal. It all adds up. It’s principle not about the actual affects.

The Ward and Rutta deals have zero impact in the cap when Schmaltz and DeBrincat are due raises. They shouldn’t be mentioned in the same context as Seabrook’s deal.

Hawks being done talk... yet people gave said of JT leaves AA or Hossa to the isles, for the latter if Lou wants to tank-rebuild, are possible options.
