Is that the excuse we are going to use for everyone? This is nothing new with Kreider if you’ve watched him the last 5 years. Don’t think he is playing hurt at all.
According to fans everyone’s hurt until they’re not. I’ve seen Panarin, Copp, Fox, Shesty, and more listed here.

People don't know what they're watching so their solution is to switch up the lines and their excuse is injuries.

I believe Chris will come back strong next season. He knew this was very good opportunity to win it all and he doesn't have many of them left like some of the other guys in the roster, maybe 1-3. You saw disappointment was deep in him.

Kreider also has to know that Rangers are soon in the cap crunch because they have a lot of talent. And if his play deteriorate too much, trigger will certainly point to him.

No. No excuses. Reasons. Not scoring is one thing, NOT seeing Kreids even ONCE use his blazing speed in 6 games, cries to me that there was a groin or something wrong for crying out loud.

Out of all the Rangers, who do you think would have wanted REVENGE for 2015 series loss? Yup. Kreids.

So, as it turns out (didn't know till now) he needed surgery. Doesn't explain for lack of speedy breakouts, BUT how many times did he miss those deflection goals that he usually puts in? I can remember screaming "c'mon Chris! You usually pot those!"
Makes a ton of sense, now. Couldn't turn his wrist enough OR simply couldn't feel his wrist.

Well they said his wrist was injured. Doesnt explain why he didnt use his speed though.

Dude scored 52 goals in the regular season, 11 GWG which blew everyone else away.

Also tied for team lead in goals for the playoffs, including 3 GW goals also tied for the most.

I think we can let him slide.
Are you allowing Panarin to slide as well?

I think we are going to regret that contract. I also like Panarin.

Kreider has done so much for this team on and off the ice. The guy came off a historic season and we are bashing him?

I don’t think we are faulting him for us not winning the Cup, but i dont think it’s unfair either to put some blame on him either for not showing up the last 4 games(or other big games). Especially as one of the leaders. He just didn’t look very engage for half the playoffs, nobody wants the kreider who only shows up every 8’games or so again like previous years and that’s what we saw in the playoffs.

The Lightning cleaned up a lot of their defensive issues after game 2. Rangers were 2 for 5 (Zibanejad and Kreider) on the power play in game 3 in Tampa and lost 3-2. In game 4 they had two power plays, game 5 1 power play and game 6 two power plays. Tampa got a lot tighter in front of the net. Vasilevskiy got a lot better too but the Rangers on the whole weren't getting the same quality shots as in the first two games of the series.

The Avalanche IMO spotted what the Rangers did so successfully against Vasilevskiy in the first two games. Cross crease passes blocker side up high.

Some people just like to bitch. Yeah it's disappointing that after going up 2-0 in the series we lost but the way Colorado took Tampa apart the likelihood is they would have taken us apart too. To me the best way to read our playoff run is that we took all these kids and young players with very little to no playoff experience at all and we got through two rounds against tough and experienced competition and we threw a real scare into the reigning Cup champs. Teams almost never win a Stanley Cup in the season when their window opens. Quite a number of very good teams go years without even getting past the first round. What the Rangers accomplished this year was pretty remarkable. At the end guys were hurt for sure. Strome shouldn't have been playing and if anyone thinks that didn't handicap his line mates I don't know what to tell you. With Kreider it's a significant enough injury. He still put up 10 goals 16 points in 20 games. That's good production only very slightly prorating behind his regular season numbers.

The Lightning used a lot of borderline obstruction and interference to slow the Rangers down and played the same way with the Avs. The difference between the Rangers and Avs, and it's a pretty significant gap, is that the Rangers have a lot of passive players who operate with the time and space that's given to them, whereas the Avs -- as someone else here has described -- have savages that are willing to play through defenders as much as they try to go around them. The Avs continued to make those cross-crease, royal-road plays because they were willing to fight through the Bolts' tactics and maintain speed many times. A guy like Kreider, who is one of the team's most powerful skaters, never really attempted to go through a defender once the Lightning adjusted after game 2.
