He was my favorite player and I was SO pissed when they traded him and Granato. God was he good.

Either way, Kreids has been unreal this season. He's been the player we all always knew he could be, and quite honestly, I am shocked he doesn't have a C on his chest at this point.
might be one of the worst trades in Rangers history

What a beast this season. Honestly, never thought I'd see it from him, but what a run this guy is having. Let's hope his numbers continue into the post season!

I was there in 2015 when he scored to keep the Rangers alive when down 3-1 in the series against the Capitals. Rangers were trailing by a goal with like... 2 minutes remaining and Kreider scored the most clutch goal from beyond the dots.

MSG was the loudest I've ever heard it. A guy next to me jumped up so fast that he fell into the aisle and down the stairs lol. And the Rangers went on to win that game, and the series. I'm glad he's become such an amazing player today.

You always felt this game was there in him to get to these types of goal numbers, but the team having one of the worst powerplays year over year held that back. If he can get to 50, I never ever imagined that. 35, sure, but not 50.

One thing you can tell is that he really really wants to get back into the playoffs. His early years on the team, was in every year. It was just what happened. Being on the outside looking in is a great motivation. Have to think he also feels they were getting in before COVID hit in 2020, and last year they get in if there were normal divisions.

Somehow this guy turned out to be the leader. Always was the young guy around the vets. Remember the discussions on who was leading this team after the likes of Nash, McDonagh, Stepan, etc. were moved. Don't really remember Kreider being considered for that role, but he is clearly the leader of the team. Would give him the C over the summer.

Atmosphere was great. My first rivalry game and was night and day compared to western conference teams. When CK scored the place went ballistic! Almost as loud as when they showed celebrity sightings Liam Neeson at the game lol

I had beer spilled on me for 10 seconds straight when they scored though. It was a rain shower of beer. MY 7 year old smelled like beer and got some in his eye when he turned around to find out why he was getting rained on. I get a second of spillage on the initial jump up when you're unaware, but come on control your god damned cup like a human being after that, slapping high fives with 2 cups in your hands is inconsiderate for the folks in front of you.
