Oh shit! Kreider has lost .155 seconds off his speed from two years ago. He's going to be so slow soon. Should've traded him.
That’s why I always mention him. Holmstrom was fetishized. There’s always a fetish.Do you guys remember pre-Kreider how Rangers fans were wishing we had a player like Holmstrom? I remember that was one of the biggest complaints was that we didn't have a player like that.
Edit: I just looked up Holmstrom's stats and Kreider already has more goals than Holmstrom had in any season.
So happy to say that I was in his camp and held my breath for quite awhile, until he re-signed. To all the naysayers......contract looking pretty good now, right?Oh shit! Kreider has lost .155 seconds off his speed from two years ago. He's going to be so slow soon. Should've traded him.
Well he was en route to ~30/82 in both shortened seasons. So that makes 3 high goalscoring seasons in a row for him. Makes it a little less surprising I think.50 from someone that never had 30.
They didn't tell Panarin I guessHeard there's a clause in his contract that if he pots 50, he gets Captaincy whether he wants it or not.

To be fair, at 30, I don't think many saw this coming. Especially after we drafted Lafreniere, Kakko and Kravtsov.... But you know, luckily 2 of them are on the verge of..... temporarily busting? Something like that. And the other alienated himself off to Russia. It's not every day 3 young prospects, two whom were basically, "can't miss", open the door for a 30 year old has been. 2022 is definitely backwards world.

Somewhat off topic. If Breadman has a child, will he name him/her Whole Wheat, or Rye? Hmmmm.*Bread's pretended it did

. This didnt age wellHasn’t scored in 2 weeks. Typical Kreider disappearing act
Never thought I’d say this, but does Kreider have a chance of getting his number retired? Thought Fox/Shesterkin were the next possibilities, but Kreider might have a shot. These aren’t all very likely, but let’s say the following happens:
- he plays out his current contract for the Rangers and retires
- Rangers win a cup at some point in that time with him playing a prominent role (top 9 forward, top pp)
- has one more year with 30+ goals and/or an all star game appearance
Those aren’t that unlikely and at that point he’ll have played ~15 seasons on the team and the one player to bridge the mid 2010 contending teams and this one. Even if his career numbers aren’t spectacular think that’s probably enough to get his number retired.
I’d retire Girardi and maybe Staal before I retire Kreider — for now.Never thought I’d say this, but does Kreider have a chance of getting his number retired?
