When he's ready, he'll be here. Long term success in an organization is created with moves and a thought process like this. I'm happy they are doing what they think is right, even if it is at the expense of the here and now.

I do think he'll be back up this season.

I agree but he's taken his demotion like a pro and done what they've wanted him to do AND he's scoring goals. Its annoying watching our inept bottom 6 when we have Kreider playing like he is.

If he's playing well on the Whale I don't see that as a sign to call him up honestly. Let him build some confidence and tear it up for a while before bringing him into the line up. In the playoffs he had come straight over here from winning and being a star in Boston, his confidence was high and he was floating on cloud 9. That's what we need again. It will take time, but he'll get there and when he's finally playing here, he will be everything we all could hope for.

I was going to respond to lundsanity with basically this exactly paragraph. He will be up and he will be a very good player in this league, i have very little doubt, all he needs is time.
 
What may be good for the team now, may not be good for the team long term. Kreider has apparently started to "get it"...let him stew in CT racking up the points...it'll be good for him rather than yo-yoing around.

I know, I'm just annoyed because our bottom 6 aside from Miller is really inept.

Exactly this. They are giving him PK, PP and a ton of ES time. That is what is needed. He needs to develop, not just play 8 minutes a game. He should become a PKer as his speed will back off the opposing defense. He needs to learn that stuff at the AHL level so that in a year or so he can develop that side of his game at the NHL level as well.
 
I agree, let him keep going in the A.

If he's humming on all cylinders by the stretch run, right after the deadline, its like getting a player w/o having to give up assets.

Sucks Haley is going down... One of the few guys we have who brings something to the table with his hits.

Hopefully Kreider plays well instead of just going through the motions like before.
 
i also swore i read yesterday that torts said he doens't want to rush Kreider back, "don't want to keep jerking his knee." or something like that.
and the next day...recalled haha
 
I'd really like to see Kreider with Richards and Gaborik tomorrow

Wouldn't complain if he's with Miller and Callahan though. Pyatt-Richards-Gaborik and we'll have three lines that are threats to score.
 
I just want to see Kreider play with some balls, similar to how Miller has been. They are different personalities, and Miller has more of a DGAF attitude. Kreider seems more reserved, but i'd like to see him play a little more angry, and hungrier.

He needs to use his size, and speed to his advantage. He looked way too timid earlier in the season when he was up here. Especially after getting laid out by Orpik.

I think this will be a good time for him to come up and start playing game in game out. Bench Richards for all I care, he's completely and utterly worthless to this team, and slows everything down. Torts can't NOT see it.
