Flames fan here, what would it take to get Kreider?
Something around Hudler (2mil retained)+ Emile Poirier+? Top-6 rental LW on a good contract and a former 1st PF prospect.

Other than your two untouchables, Calgary has no one I think we'd want.
Kreider is not a Cap Dump situation, and I'm not looking for a rental. I'm looking for an Eberle type (I'd add to get him); or even Cam Atkinson would interest me. (I might add a little to get him, too).
I want a solid return. Not a rental that seems to have blown his load last season and is on the wrong side of 30...and a prospect that curiously was unable to make the Flames roster this year and is under-performing in the AHL.
Hope you're not insulted. Just being honest.
If you'd be interested in taking either Girardi or Staal off of our hands along with Kreider, maybe then I'd look through your line-up more carefully and come up with something, lol.

I know it might be crazy but after watching him play now and seeing hardly any results that benefit us I am starting to wonder if AV should start increasing his ice time ? The kid is a physical monster with wheels . What can it hurt ? We suck now as it is .
Give him the extra minutes and see what happens .Pile it right on !!! He might thrive with it . Maybe he is just not getting his motor warmed up .If he plays more...he might have less time to think and just play??? I think they have to start thinking outside the box with him.....we have to change something up because the present stuff is just not working .

Just the opposite.
Despite the play recently, he should watch a few games from upstairs instead of circling the ice, coming back to the bench shaking his head then watching himself on an iPad before his next shift. More ice time? He deserves less and should get it. Problem is nobody else is stepping up and playing well.

Reward him for poor play? **** No. Regardless of whether or not it would work, it's something you just don't do. Sets a horrible example for the rest of the team. If you suck, you sit.

He hasn't even been removed from the power play. I am so sick of him. Time so sit his ass in the press box.
Kreider was never really a big time producer in any level from College , AHL and now the NHL. Not sure why the expectations are so high. He evolved into a solid top 6 NHL player who has great size and great skating ability.
Maybe expectations should be lowered and appreciate what type of player Kreider has become. A rare home grown player who is performing as a top 6 NHL player who also seems to raise his game in the playoffs.

That would be nice, if it were actually true. He has 16 points in 35 games... that's not top 6 production. At best it's borderline. He's on pace for like 14 goals... I'm sorry, but that's hugely disappointing considering the expectations of him. As of now I see him a third liner that occasionally steps up in crucial spots. And even then, 30 points in 61 playoff games is nice but nothing to write home about. That's about on par with his regular season production.

Maybe kreider isn't good in the playoffs and he's just good against Washington? The team he always seems to come up big against is Washington. I don't remember him doing much outside of the Washington serieses the past couple of years. And he was magically good to last night after sucking for 30 games

Is Ryan Hollweg the father of Chris Kreider ? Some nights I really can see a resemblance in their style of play . Has anybody ever worked with him on throwing a check in his career ??? It is amazing at how bad he is at it .

I wish Kreider could hit like Hollweg.
Guy is still playing hockey and destroying people with big hits, this hit is from this year.
Somehow he got kicked out of the game from this but the replays show it was about as clean as they come.
