That lazy intentional offsides still really ****ing pisses me off from last night. If you're so mad about Brodin being able to close in on you, try moving your feet or lowering your shoulder into him to win the puck against the boards.

You and Zuccarello (and me, and I'm sure a bunch of other people).

Does anyone have the vid of that? It was really quick, but it was there.

that's 2 years ago... And he's coasted ever since then.. this year is even worse than before.

I'm almost certain it was last year that he stated the difference it made, not when the series itself occurred. I'm saying he did it well that series, then kinda fell off of it, and refound it last year.

And he coasted right into 20 goals last year - that was fine by me.

he should be in play. if we can get better by moving him, we need to atleaast explore that

hes regressed in production for sure, but worse, he's regressed in his overall play. he looks lost.

hes no longer an impact guy, he's a faster rick nash

or a slower vik stalberg.

time to shake the bag

David Clarkson scored 20 goals once.. he has to improve

Not to nitpick, but there's no chance that Stalberg is faster than Kreider hehe

AV should set some incremental goals for him just to get him involved. Like, register 8 hits tonight or you're scratched next game. And two of those hits have to be on the opposing goalie.

If Kreider was a faster Rick Nash we'd be golden.

you know what, that would be a good race. i wonder.

stalberg is also ferociously fast.

in so many ways they are the same player. they are the same size, both have lobster claws for hands and they are both so dumb.

Stalberg, like Hagelin, has the agility that Kreider does not. The edge work.

Top speed though? Kreider by a wide-margin.

Kreider is like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart. If you can get him to that top speed, look out. Stalberg and Hagelin are more like Yoshi.

I agree completely with your overall point, silverfish.

Glad I can have these kinds of hockey discussions.

Ya except one was an American first round draft pick by us so that instantly makes him a top 6 forward and the other barely deserves to be on the 4th line. Ryan graves can replace him. Lol hf boards u never fail in your hypocrisy

Nash shoots 4 times a game and scores on a 1/8 clip. We'd be set. They're not even remotely similar players.

they are both:

big
strong
unproductive
lazy at times
clueless at times
"do less with more" kind of players
freakish physical specimens

and both playing well below their collective abilities.

other than that, yeah, not similar at all.

Considering none of that is playing style and most of it is opinions and bias, sure.

both big. not opinion nor bias.
both strong. ditto above.
both have been more than unproductive. look at their stats. hello ? fact.
lazy ? my opinion, but shared by many.
clueless, see above.
less with more. same but can you deny this ?
physical specimens. they certainly are.

i never mentioned playing style. you did. i said, ck has become a faster rick nash. in other words, a faster underperforming player using stats, rather than style, as the benchmark.

they are certainly similar players in that, this season, they share the above traits. that makes them very similar.

I couldn't believe MSG just pretended the intentional offsides didn't happen. I was pretty pissed at that.

Zucc when Kreider got back to the bench after that. MSG had the camera on them, but peeled away quick when they realized what was happening...

I saw that too, Zucc had close to the Chara eyes going right before they cut away.

Love it.

Hoping against all hope that people don't turn the story into "Zucc hates Kreider" or "the team is divided".

That is what good teammates do. Better to someone's face than behind their back.

I think it's a frustrated team, and that gif points it out better than anything.

When's the last time you saw a Ranger call out another player on the ice like that? Well, besides Lundqvist

Zucc doesn't hate Kreider. The locker room isn't divided, but I think they are certainly frustrated.

It's my impression that Kreider became less physical after he drilled Tyutin and got kicked out of the game.
