We already have somewhat of a Carlye like team just need an enforcer. It's built for him especially the defenseman which is his specialty

It so simple and so perfect. Hire Carlyle, sign an enforcer, pray we win the lottery.
It will be really entertaining watching RC try and get the best out of Getzlaf and Perry.
Hows the 2017 draft shaping up?

I think I take Keslers word over a hfboards poster with an obvious agenda. We have a good team that's plays soft and without a coach that forces accountability on the star players. Carlye is just that

Get an enforcer to fight all those other enforcers around the league, eh?
I'm not for or against RC right now, but there's literally 0 point to ice an enforcer these days.
I enjoy both along with scrums face washes etcThere is literally zero reasons to dress an enforcer. Considering you think Stewart is physical, I don't think you enjoy physical play as much as you do fighting.
I don't think we'll be bottom team with Carlyle, actually. we'd probably make the playoffs in this division, or be like this year's Bruins perhaps. But Carlyle is bottom of the list no doubt for who we should hire. And your agenda is to champion him and idealize being a tough team and then hide behind a quote from Kesler.
The ducks used to be and should be the team that forces other team to use an enforcer. That's the point
My agenda is his tough team had playoff success and made "ducks hockey" a term identified with being a tough team. Sure I'd love to go back to that
I keep telling you, your beef is with the wrong person. Murray made the team soft, not Boudreau. We already have somewhat of a Carlye like team just need an enforcer. It's built for him especially the defenseman which is his specialty

Majors (on the assumption it's mostly fights and few are other infractions)
Year | Coach | Majors
2009 | Carlyle | 82
2010 | Carlyle | 79
2011 | Carlyle | 68
2012 (prorated) | Carlyle | 49.91304348
2012 (prorated) | Boudreau | 44.47457627
2013 (prorated) | Boudreau | 42.70833333
2014 | Boudreau | 40
2015 | Boudreau | 37
2016 | Boudreau | 43
Notice that in 2012 there wasn't that much of a change from Carlyle's 23 games to Boudreau's 59 games.
What makes you think that Murray will get an enforcer? When's the last time we even had one?
"Like boxing a glacier", what a great metaphor.
Basically. I don't think it really matters. Boudreau had to go, I'm glad he's gone, but the time to make the move was last summer. There's no coach on the market that screams "hire me for your contending team."
