Could be true, but you’d be shocked at how much NHL players intermingle. Word of Vegas treating their players like shit will have some effect. Maybe not as much as contending, but some.

Nobody. Its not a 35+ contract nor is it one of those long term deals that will be hit with cap recapture.

I believe his current deal was signed with Vegas anyways.

Toews is still a solid player, just not a 10.5m player. Hope he can still come back but his cap hit hurts the team greatly in being able to add another skilled forward or a top 4 dman.
