Looking at Justin Bailey last year, he got an AHL suspension before getting an NHL call-up...had to serve when he got back to the AHL

Given the position the canes are in I’m not sure this is the time to give a guy his first look at the nhl level. Teams also have a limited number of call ups after the deadline.
