He was cut on the play. Required stitches. Should be good to go tomorrow.
Great news!!! A cut is one thing. An upper body injury is quite another!!!! I didn't think the hit was dirty, he turned at the last second.

so what's he playing through? Those couple of games he missed recently were listed as lower body I believe.

Desperately need to get him healthy. Last night showed how rough it can get for this team if he's not playing like himself and they certainly can't do much without him in the lineup. Every time I'm convinced they should go all-in on a 2C, they'll have a defensive stinker like this one and make me remember how overreliant they are on Mac. Really need a top pair left D to share the load with him. I'm talking a real 2-way minute-eater, not just another small offensive D or whatever.

I keep beating the Klingberg drum, mainly because the rumors say the Bruins are in on them but also because I like the move and what it does to the lineup. Klingberg acts as an insurance policy for Mac, easing the burden of minutes on a kid who's been shown to be injury prone, as well as pushing Carlo down to the bottom pairing and pushing out Connor Clifton. The price at the end of the day might be too much, but I like the idea of how adding a top dman improves the entire three pairs.

I'm warming up to this idea if for no other reason than Klingberg is probably the best D likely to be available, even if he's not the ideal fit (Lindholm would be my guy. Don't see him being traded, but really hoping he becomes a UFA and Bruins push to sign him in the Summer).

Hopefully Charlie can just grind it out until the all star break which is the start of February

maybe give him the game or 2 off before all star week to give him more days off

And just hope the week off heals him back to 100%

because he does not look right

Huge McAvoy fan, Imo as good as there is today in all around defenseman.

Is that stat really a big deal when Wesley has twice as many 3 point games and Mike Milbury has the same number? Milbury never got PP time in his career and has same number of 3+ point games.
Yeah I know goalies weren't as big and equipment
was smaller, yadda, yadda,yadda.

Also there is a significant gap between McAvoy and Hedman and I mean significant.

Hedman is having a bounce back year this year which has closed the gap, but I agree. There is a pretty big gap between these two.

Lol, come PO time you wouldn't find a single GM or
hockey person that would take McAvoy over Hedman.

So answer a very simple question, at the trade deadline if you can trade McAvoy for Hedman are you doing it?

At 31 soon to be 32? nope. I will take Charlie, put Charlie with Tampa's D, and then have this conversation
