I don't understand what people expect from this guy. He has stabilized the third line. He has stabilized the possession of the puck that line had. He has come as advertised. And stop with the JFK, kid is hurt again, and he wasn't really ready for prime time, he wasn't going to play in the playoffs.
Frederic isn't ready yet, needs experience. Ask anyone in Minny, Coyle is a guy who will always leave you wanting more. That is just who he is. The B's knew what they were getting and he serves a purpose for them. He's young, experienced and big. There is a high percentage chance that Minny wins this deal in the long run, no doubt. But that's how this works. Pay with a prospect to get help now.

This is exactly what I wanted out of him. Would love some points as well, but I didn't expect him to light it up with the linemates he has right now.

You give him Heinen, and maybe someone like Bjork next year who really wants to make his bones in the NHL, I'm pretty sure Coyle will play better. He's the best of a bad situation on that line right now. Frederic was my vote for future third line center but he needs more time in Providence. And i'm not even sure how I feel about JFK yet.

Coyle is making too many giveaways, but I attribute much of that to new linemates and a new system. Really hope Pasta comes back soon because Bruce needs to settle on a third line so that it can build chemistry. Coyle will look a lot better as he gets used to his mates and the system.

Still very happy with the move to bring in Coyle. The scoring will come and the turnovers will decrease. He's a quality player. He was an important add to this team.

gave it away a few times last night, one was kind of an iffy one as initially he had I think Wagner with him on the wing with Wags being at the end of a shift and CC put it to where he thought Wags would be but Wags curled back the moment he did to go to the bench but it comes down to chemistry and communication with linemates. I know many here are disappointed with early returns but I`m going to give the guy time, we are finally seeing a 3rd line that Butch can actually put out there more than 8-10 minutes a game, They created a few chances last night, it`ll come

Pasta out has made it necessary to give Coyle our least-productive, least-skilled wingers. I actually think the top two lines are clicking so well right now that we should ease Pasta back in by putting him on Coyle's wing. See if that third line becomes seriously dangerous that way. Coyle is in a new system with tough line mates. I think he's going to turn it on more before the end of the regular season.

I think Coyle with Marchand and Bergeron would work really well together. Marchand and Bergeron like to cycle and Coyle has shown he's very effective at it. I know he's pointless thus far, but he's shown that he has some offense and giving him two players like Marchand and Bergeron would probably get more points out of him.

However, then you're back to having a massive hole on the 3rd line with no real center there. Say what you want about Coyle and his lack of production, but he's been good there. He's finally given the Bruins a legit #3 center.
You can put my grand mother with bergy and marchand and she will get point
I still wait for final evaluation but even if he play well bla bla bla coyle is still a black hole and bring nothing more on third line
I wish him the best really but i saw nothing at all until that i would prefer use someone with potential ...but again i wish him to show something good one day....may be

Yeah, I don't buy this crap. People who think it's easy to play with these two are judging it from their couch. It's not easy to play with them. You have to be a smart player. You have to have skill. You're basically implying that if Noel Acciari was on their RW, he'd produce points. I don't see it.

The rest of this is just a jumbled mess.

Someone posted yesterday that they were waiting for his physical side to be unleashed. From everything Wild fans said, that is not his game. Hopefully he'll put up some points soon, but I'm not expecting anything more than 8-10 points for the remainder of the season.

He's okay, but it's hard to be a real difference maker when you're neither a good playmaker nor a good goal scorer. He can't be relied upon offensively. When he does score it's a bonus.

I`ll disagree about him not being a good playmaker, I`ve seen him make a number of real nice plays however the issue now is he`s not playing alongside two guys who have great skill. Don`t have his stats on hand but I`ll wager his goal to assist ratio falls heavily in favor with assists.

He`s a smart player

Right now he's at 1.7 assist to every 1 goal, so almost 2 to 1

I think there's a difference between "X will produce with Bergy & Marchand" and "X will produce like a first liner with Bergy & Marchand"

Riley Nash showed us that bottom 6 guys can put up inflated numbers playing on that first line (in his case with Marchand & Pasta), but being able to keep up with them and produce at a very high level is another story. I think Acciari would put up career numbers if he played with those two for a significant stretch, but obviously a guy like Heinen will make waaaay more out of that opportunity.

No no no and no, acciari could play with mario lemieux and wayne gretzky and orr and bourque on defense one year and he would not get 10 goals

10 goals last season though.
In 60 games, without ever seeing a second on the power play.

Don't forget the guy can also kill penalties. I always sound like a broken record on this, but it is clear that the Bruins place a high priority on penalty killing, as well they should with those two ridiculous powerplays in Toronto and Tampa. The road to any success goes right through those two teams. The more reliable options they have up front to kill penalties, the better. As much as a I like seeing Bergeron and Marchand frustrating other teams PP's, I also appreciate the likes of Wagner, Nordstrom and now Coyle, who can do some PK lifting as well, leaving more even strength icetime for 63 and 37.

Awesome..... A 3.2 million dollar PK specialist. C'mon. We need more from Coyle.
Everyone is crying about his linemates. Well, I don't think we have anyone else he can play with unless someone comes from Providence. Sweeney and Cassidy need to figure this out for before the playoffs and quickly.
We would be happy with 8-10 points in the next 17 games?? Really??.... He has gone 5 games with ZERO.
Should be producing more. Hope he can figure it out soon. Over a month since he registered a single point.
