Huge plays by Jones and Gauthier in the 3rd. Most of our forwards were very good in this one. Defense was shaky but are top two lines were strong all day and getting that bottom 6 and bottom pairing contribution was key today.

Giving it to Dellandrea at the end was fine by me. The Sillinger play was bad enough. These guys just cruising around knocking people backwards on the ice is bullshit. I don't care if they're kids.....if it isn't deliberate then it's dumbass as all get out.

I don't know what's going on with Laffy. He doesn't look completely lost but it's not clicking like it was.

Maybe it's a major adjustment for him, playing with a guy like Panarin. He's always been 'the guy'. He needs to learn to get open and in scoring areas when Panarin has the puck and to be ready for the pass/opportunity. Still doing all the dirty work but they're not on the same page yet. He's had chances but he has a lot more to give
I think the kids line need to be back together for chytil and Laffy not so much for KK. KK possion skills helps the other 2 out. KK breakout is imminent.

Shesty is making some big saves, but he’s been prone to a few softies, particularly under his pads. Last year in the playoffs he almost got burned on a few change ups as he was practically jumping to make a save as the puck slowly rolled under his pad and wide.

He seems a bit antsy this year, first few games overplaying shooters at poor angles way wide, and now not being technically sound in basic save positions. Got bailed out by the off side and the team potting a few in the 3rd, I’m sure he’ll put it together soon again. Better to go cold now than in May like last year.

Gauthier is a perfect 4th line player. who cares if he can't finish if he keeps drawing penalties.
If he keeps this up, then sure. But he didn't play like this last year every game. And if you are a 4th liner and your only attribute is speed, you basically have to bring it every night. Ideally, you have someone better there. Gauthier is not a 4th line that gets you the cup.

Our #2 center scoring on a wide open net. Something we haven't seen for a while. Clearly an upgrade over Strome.

Goat finally scores. He is useful on the 4th line whether he scores or not because he always seems to draw a couple of penalties every game. Scoring is a bonus. I doubt they will risk waivers for him again.

Really wish Kravstov would show us something positive. Rooting for the kid but I don't think he is going to make it in the NHL.

I want lights out Shesty back. He is not on the same level this year.

Good for Jones for 2 points and a plus 3

I played goalie in summer roller hockey in high school and gave up that exact goal Gautheir scored and the best player on the team was like” why can’t you just stay in the net?”

I'll die on this hill-Gauthier deserves to stay in the lineup.Even when he isn't scoring, his speed and forechecking causes problems.Good things happen when he's on the ice.His effort on his goal today was amazing and well deserved.Good job by Gallant switching the pairs around too.it worked wonderfully
I will die with you on the hill that Gauthier is a better-than-most 4th liner who clearly makes things happen.

He's despised for his constant missed chances but that's more annoying than harmful.

I think it's sad that players who would go a whole season and never get a prime chance that Gauthier gets every game, because they're just that bad, are viewed as better players.

Exactly. He needs to become a better forechecker but that speed could make him a really good forechecker

This exactly, who else on the team is even getting the chances Gauthier does. If he could even score 10-15 a season he is a useful player in the bottom 6.
