We tried to give this one away for two periods. Hockey gods were with the good guys today.

For the poll:
-Kakko, one of his best games. An assist, and the imagenary third assist on that first Trocheck goal.
- Gauthier, he has shown he wants to stay in the lineup, and that's a an effort goal. 110% put into that one
- Goodrow, for dunking that clown Dellandrea. One of the best 2 minutes you're ever going to spend in the box

A lot of guys could've gotten stars today. Igor let in two easy ones, but made some great saves as well don't forget that. A good thing our guys responded. Especially Kreider, he looked like an actual NHLer today.

Boo. I couldn't make the poll. I had some good names.

That 4-3 goal being wiped out and turning into a 6-3 blowout has the looks of one of those symbolic turning points to end a slump, so let's hope thats what it was.

Will be interesting to see if Gallant sticks with these new D pairings next game, that seemed to stabilize things.

Even if Gauthier doesn't magically pull it together after that goal- this game indicates that NYR desperately need more speed at the forward position. It permits us to be taken seriously north-south and can get opponents to stop cheating as high up the ice as they play against our lateral playmakers. Last deadline we were looking for a volume shooter in Vatrano, this deadline we should be looking for a Jason Chimera type for the bottom 6.
