Thanks for this.

A couple tidbits - I did not know that Strathmann was headed to North Dakota for 2024-25. I wasn't sure what you meant from your listing but I looked it up. Ben Boyd went unsigned and I believe is no longer CBJ property, or a part of any org if he's playing in Canadian University. Edit: capfriendly has his "must sign by" in 2027, so maybe they could choose to sign him later. In any case he's not a prospect anymore in my book.

Re: Boyd probably true but with USports the CBJ have 2 guys going to Traverse that are either going to Canadian college or played that last year just fyi

The Rysavvy thing is really weird. Youd think a guy would know where he would be playing at this point

I wonder if Rysavy is trying to go pro but Cleveland maybe doesn't have room for him. He might have to go to Czechia if he won't go back to Moose Jaw.

I have been Tappara-man/fan over 50 years and I haven´t been this excited about our junior player since Laine and Barkov. Not saying Oiva Keskinen is going to be their level, but Oiva is looking really promising. He is sort of a late bloomer, and hopefully makes the national U20 team in Gothenburg.

Why wasn't Keskinen drafted earlier? No one took him his first draft year and nearly no one his second draft. He's a skilled 6 footer with good production. Was something missing?

Dumais definitely wont get it but whats the harm in trying. I dont even know if Savoie would get 1 and he almost meets the 4years in the CHL criteria

I love what Fantilli said about Dumais:

“Off the chart IQ,” Fantilli said. “If I can’t even see him, I’m still ready for a pass. He sees a lot of things I don’t, and I just have to be ready for a pass. He’s a really strong kid. He plays like he’s a lot bigger than he is. He’s got one of the best hockey brains I’ve ever played with, so being out there with him has been really special.”

I'd love to see them on a line in some pre-season action.

I don't think Savoie will, and Dumais absolutely not.

Savoie atleast could have had 4 years of CHL play but went elsewhere for the covid year. Only had 22 games in his 15/16 year old season so I dont know if that meets whatever threshold is in place

Dumais has more games in CHL and like 80 more points than Savoie. I do not think that Savoie has more chances of getting it even if both have very slight chances. Jarmo statement has a lot of meaning.

Points mean nothing, its the years played. Wright gets a free pass for the OHL shutting down for a year. Dumais played more than Wright also but Wright lost a year due to a very strange situation

Would be great, but I can't see CHL allowing this for Dumais. Would start a bad precedent for them to allow it purely based on scoring a lot of points.

But maybe Jarmo will pull out the AHL conditioning stint trick. He'd play less games in 2023, but it'd let him to train with NHLers and put in more hours at the gym under NHL trainers. Then Dumais can return to CHL after WJC.

Jarmo needs to do something smart
