Blake Siebenaler and Jordan Maletta scored for Niagara in their win last night. They lead their series 1-0.

Olivier Leblanc's team was eliminated last night. He finished with 11 assists in 13 games.

Is Kerby Rychel sulking or perhaps he just isn't that good? I am trying to figure out what is wrong with this kid.

First 6 games: 4 Gs and 10 Pts
Last 33 games: 2 Gs and 17 Pts

I know the pace he set in the first six games was unsustainable but 2 Gs in 33 Games wth a lousy +/- compared to the majority of the team.

I can't help but notice guys like Andy, Bjorkstrand, Kukan, Milano are all getting better (statistically) and Rychel is fading away. Andy scored 7 Gs and 18 Pts in his last 22 Games which doesn't include his 3G - 4Pt night in Game Two of the playoffs. Sonny has 9 Gs and 13 Pts in his last 20 games. Even Kukan who only had 3 Gs and 8 Pts in his first 23 Games has 1 G and 7 Pts in his last 12 Games since a return from Columbus.

I was in Cleveland a few weeks ago and sat right behind the LEM bench. His body language is horrible. I think its pretty obvious the kid wants a change of scenery.

The surest way to get a ticket out is to stagnate and let other prospects step up their game and pass him on the depth chart.

Package him with CMac and get a pick for him

Not true at all. If you want out, you better play well. You lower your trade value when you play like crap. That lessens the chances the team will find a trade they are okay with. So, you may get called up or traded if you play well and you will probably be stuck in the AHL if you play poorly.

Yep. I thought that there may be something to build around Rychel in a trade for Drouin at the deadline when the former's value was high and the latter's value was low. Alas, those values have gone in opposite directions.

Disagree 100%. When you play well, your team KEEPS you.

I agree that we'll regret trading him, but in order to get a fix to some of our issues, he may be one of our best available chips...
Sure, but unless it brings in a bonafide top 4 defenseman (in a package) I don't think its worth it.

I don't like his attitude and want him gone. Glad I'm not the GM!

I don't like that he's been upset in Cleveland and his play has been affected, but I don't think his attitude is an issue.

Other than the players already in Columbus that are ahead of him, I would say he's no better than 4th or 5th as far as forward prospects in LE now. To me, he's not going to be better than a 3rd-4th liner for Columbus, so if some other team thinks he can be better, send him.

And if we draft an F he drops another spot imo.

I think he's third. Bjorkstrand, Anderson, Rychel, Milano. I think they just wanted to see what they had in Milano at the end of the year, and to reward him for his hot streak down the stretch.

I think Anderson is going to be here full time next year. Bjork could too, but his shot is longer than Anderson's.

I would take Zaar and Milano both.

Bjorkstand is a LOCK next year. He will be on the #1 PP unit. (edit)....or the #2 PP unit :)

Just going to assume that there are no trades (Not realistic I know, but you really can't bank on one guy getting dealt, so this is safer)

Locks:
Foligno
Dubi
Cam
Boone
Calvert
Karlsson (if re-signed)
Wennberg
Clarkson
Campbell
Hartnell
Saad

That's 11 spots locked in. I know people are going to argue that Campbell and Clarkson can be healthy scratched, so I'll even count them as HS. That leaves 2 open roster spots for forwards.

Saad-Wennberg-Atkinson
Hartnell-Jenner-Foligno
???/Calvert-Dubi-???
Calvert/???-Karlsson-???
Campbell, Clarkson

Guys competing for those 2 spots:
Boll
Milano
Rychel
Bjork
Anderson
Chaput
Tynan
Sedlak (?)

Boll has the one way. Still a buyout possibility though. Would they play Anderson on the 4th line? I think so, so that would be one spot. I think they'd also let Rychel and Chaput play on the 4th line. But obviously not Bjork.

I know it's silly to do so, but if you extrapolate Bjorkstrand's 1 month with Columbus, he would have led the team in points. I have a feeling that Columbus will tighten up their GAA next year, so I think goals are going to be at a premium. He really is the best pure goal scorer in the organization, his strength is the one thing the team needs the most, IMO.

I think Rychel looked a little over weight during the 1st round. If he does not come to camp with the right attitude and in prime shape I think he will be gone. To many good players will have passed him for the few spots that are open, if that happens his attitude will come back. We need to package some players for more talent or just trade them for the draft picks, but we need to make room for a better 4th line.
