btw.... I'm not a jr, NCAA or minor league/NHL movement expert by any means.... but if what I read on Puck Rakers is true, Boone Jenner can be called up if his OHL team is defeated in their playoffs before our NHL season ends...... I'm hoping this happens if true....

he should only go to Springfield IMO...he's be a nice boost to them for a playoff run and give him some more confidence...

Yes, he can be recalled to either Springfield or Columbus. Morgan Rielly was recalled to the Toronto Marlies today, to finish out the season.

If brought up to Springfield, I believe he doesn't cost us a year of his contract. If more than 9 games in Columbus, he does.

Thank you Sore Loser (you are not a sore loser btw) for the confirmation.... I'm hoping he gets a few games in Columbus before we exit the playoffs... :)

I'm trying to be positive folks, kay... ;)

He can't play any games with Columbus this season without burning a year of his contract.

Which I seriously doubt the team would be willing to do.

No games at all??? If so, I agree with the Springfield route.... can't burn an entire contract year for a few games (less than 10)... I’m surprised the Dispatch PR blog didn’t mention that…

I think Springfield is the best option for him anyhow. With the Jackets, there's no way he's getting a regular shift right now. With Springfield, he'll see plenty of ice, and will get his taste of both professional and professional playoff hockey. Should be interesting.

Next year they'll be using up a year of his contract either way ... I think there's a slim, outside chance that he makes the Jackets ... but I think it more likely, and better for his development, to at least start the year in Springfield.

I think it's 5 games this season

I am going to Michigan tomorrow with some friends for a "man-cation" away from the wives/gfs. We just picked up tickets to the OSU/ND game. Can't wait to see Tynan. Has anyone else seen him this season? We were supposed to go to South Bend a few times this season but it never panned out and had to work during the games here at the Schott.

HF's top 50 prospects list is just out. They actually have Morgan Rielly and Griffin Reinhart ahead of Ryan Murray. I think this is crazy, despite their tools they just don't think the game like Ryan Murray, and I'd be surprised if either Rielly or Reinhart had better careers than Murray.

Players I wouldn't be surprised if they had better careers than Murray: Dougie Hamilton, Jacob Trouba, and Darnell Nurse. Hamilton is an obvious one, Trouba was amazing at the WJC's and since then, and Nurse- I don't have much to go on with him, just a feeling.

I can guarantee you that he will be more valuable to this team than Derick Brassard. And probably within 2 years.

That ain't saying much.

It's quite possible that all of those players will be more valuable than Brassard.

If you want to make a statement, say that there is a significant chance (>25%) that Murray will be the most valuable player to the Blue Jackets for the next fifteen years. Would you agree with that statement?
