I like the trade for Philly, the only thing I don't understand is why they waited until after the Bedard lottery to completely tear it apart...

Space to resign Vilardi, Gavrikov, and a goalie. Hopefully Durzi is on the way out too, with Spence, Bjornfot and Clarke needing spots.
This is such a weird trade. LA give up Walker and a D prospect to dump Petersen and retain on Provorov?

Columbus get a guy that may only stick around for 18 months (if he decides he won't re-sign) when they aren't really competing just yet.

Philly are the only ones to come out of this with some sort of sense and that's weird in i

I was laughed at by Kings fans for saying it would take at least 2 1sts to dump Petersen with 0 retention. Most Kings fans believed Blake when he said he would be on their NHL club next season and that the Kings don't want or need to dump him especially if it costs more than a 2nd LOL.

Kings just paid Sean Walker (Kings fans wanted a late 1st or 2nd+3rd for him) + Helge Grans (2nd round pick) + a 2nd round pick to dump him at 3M (retained 2.025 for 2 years on Provorov which would be the same as retaining 2.025M on Petersen's contract).

Thats essentially a 1st + 2x 2nd round pick value to dump 2.975M for 2 years of Petersen.

They must be seething right now

That's the Flyers way! Fletcher and the old boys club were convinced the team could compete for the playoffs. PLAYOFFS!!!!! Haha, how hilarious is that. Every person in the world, even people who have never seen a hockey puck could tell that was idiotic, but not Fletcher and the idiots in Flyers management. On top of that, they hired Tortorella, who would help the team not be as bad as possible. They should have been like Chicago and dumped everything.

But anyway, this just gives you an idea of what Flyers fans have to deal with. Stupidity year after year.
