There has to be more for Philly because otherwise why wouldn't they just retain and deal with CBJ directly...No way they want Cal Petersen lol. Must be more or Philly's lost their minds.
They've decided to go into full tank mode ... one year late. Which all things considered is a very Philly move. Congrats to them?

If Briere's first trade as Flyers GM is to trade Provorov, take back a cap dump goalie in Petersen, and not get a 1st back in the deal, he should be fired already. Let's see.

gotta wait for all the parts, but the foundation seems like kind of a strange deal. The Jackets probably get the best player in the deal, and if the return to Philly is any indication, didn't give up a lot. But why pay to retain when they have tons of cap space? For the Kings, the retention is strange when half their team is a free agent this summer and next summer. No clue what the Flyers are doing, surely they could get a better return than that?
