Let's get him, too! And the guy who made some cockamamie offer for Ott and Tallinder in that other thread!

What I find bizarre is that we seem to have somehow developed a Team JMFJ / Team Tyutin divide for our blueline the same way we used to have Nash versus Zherdev arguments. What's wrong with having them both - especially considering that neither of them qualify as All-Star enough to justify dumping the other?
Callahan is shiny and neat but I don't see him being worth dumping one of the decent blueliners.
He's a nice piece, but no way should he be the highest paid player on the team (aside from Gaborik), nor should we be giving up the farm to get him.
With his contract demands vs production, I wouldn't trade what we traded for Foligno. Giving up anything more than one of our young defenders and a bottom 6 forward would be a bad move. We won't trade for him though, so I'm not worried.
Ranger fan here, not trolling. It was nice to see JD at the Garden last night to celebrate Sam Rosin's 30 years with MSG. JD is still my favorite announcer OH Baby.... It did cross my mind that JD might be there to show interest in a NY Ranger but not Callahan. Dorsett will be coming off his earlier injury soon, the acquistion of Carcillo and how well our 4 th line is clicking now, don't know if the Rangers will have a spot for him. Perhaps one of them might be available. What does Columbus Fans think know that Dorcett was a fan favorite and he is well liked in MSG as well....
Possible but I don't see it. Our bottom 6 is a logjam as is right now.
I pass on Dorsett. We have enough players who know how to take a bad penalty. That ship has sailed. Not sure how Carcillo make the CBJ a better team either.
"@Aportzline: Rangers' pro scout GIlles Leger in the house. Rick Kehoe, also a Rangers' pro scout, was here on Thursday, but Kehoe is often here."
Aaron Portzline @Aportzline 5m
Pittsburgh (2), San Jose (1) and NY Rangers (1) have scouts scheduled to be in Nationwide Arena for tonight's #CBJ vs. #Panthers game.

Man these scouts in house are making me nervous... JD and Kek are not afraid to make moves but for the first time in my CBJ TD history I don't think I want to make a move... two exceptions, moving RJ (he's been good this season but the dude has cement hands and a poor contract) and picking up a better backup goalie..
Agreed don't mess with the chemistry. This team can roll 4 lines and has scored a healthy number of goals. Move one of the young D (Erixon, Gobulef) and one of the 4th liners (Skille, Tropp) if you have to; but don't mess with this coreI'm with you.
Only one of the NHL teams that reportedly had received the Rangers’ permission to discuss contract extension details with Callahan’s agent had phoned Steve Bartlett as of early Saturday evening, the Daily News has learned, and no hard deadline exists in Bartlett’s mind for Blueshirts GM Glen Sather either to strike a deal or trade the pending unrestricted free agent.
“My focus is to continue to talk to the Rangers and deal with the Rangers,” Bartlett said by phone on Saturday, adding that he is “optimistic” and that Callahan will make any final decision. “We won’t close any doors.
“I respect that they have to make the best decision for the team, and I know they respect I have to make the best decision for my player.”
The team that contacted Bartlett is unknown, but it was not the Columbus Blue Jackets, a team that ESPN had reported on Friday was showing interest.
I'm with you.
The speculation has the CBJ with Callahan but what if its Girardi. I know that's who I'd be looking to acquire.
He's also going to cash in and I feel like we have our own Girardi-lite in Prout.
Dude. Put down the pipe. I love Prout because of his physical presence. If he were Girardi lite he wouldn't have been wally pipped by a guy (Savard) who wasn't even with the club last year.
Prout is a shot blocking physical stay at home defender who skates fairly well for his size. Girardi is a shot blocking two way defender (although offensive game not as good as it once was), physical, and skates well.
